No the light car came with the Northwest Special Freight starter set; the NYC Locomotive i bought separately, as well as the NYC cars. Thanks for the comment.

Me and my dad have a 60 year old lionel train set. That includs the train engain, a trolly,track, houses, pasenger cars and freigt cars. We also have a 30 year old HO set with every thing above, but there is no trolly, but the HO runs and is in good shape, but the lionel needs to be fixed up, and the houses are falling apart!
