For your next video you should be up a TSD page but off centered viewing without the HSI and an Engine page on one of the MPDs. Also, Apaches now fly with MTADs pnvs not Legacy anymore. Easily recognized by the little tit. Nice job though. As for all these weapons questions, most computations are made in the weapons processor so...who cares? Northhawk called them fire control computers but they're called weapons processors. Just an fyi.
One point. The AH-64D Apache Longbow and the Brtiish Apache AH Mk1 have their fire control computers compensating for airspeed, range, and even the cannon's recoil. Therefore, the M230 rounds WILL hit the crosshair regardless of what you're doing, assuming you're within range. 3 mil error at 1000m - that's three meters.
Excellent work guys. Finally an Apache sim worthy of the Longbow 2 legacy.
IIRC newer versions of the M230 chain gun include modifications to increase accuracy at long range. There was some "Precision Turret Upgrade" or something like that. Will the latest version be simulated?
@ReconTeam111 I don't have any data on that. As an area suppression weapon the put about rumour is that they have to put inaccuracy into the system, which is something I had to do in the simulation. Making it a precise weapon again would involve adding a command function to turn that off.
And you're correct on the menu music. Although we only have one menu up front, we don't have in-between loading. Once you're in the game world there is no front end sandwiching gameplay.
Very nice. With each video I get alittle more WOHO! Now the question is What is the rate of fire you have on the gun? It looks a little high but I culd be wrong. Have you got the burst rates set yeat. 10,20,50 and 100?
@CAT101st Bust limits are selectable from the WEP page. Rate of fire is currently set at 625 rounds per min. That's 10.41 rounds per second which equates to a little over 96 m/s between each round leaving the cannon, which is how it's set.
Now, I'm aware that 625 is a published max and it takes a little time to get the gun up to speed, pilot testing will shake these things out.
Rate of fire seems very high
