One of the many hospitalizations I have overcome,I remember one of them. The deal was I had to play a game of billiards and not freak out , then I went home.
well my grama went there for claiming too see angels but she said its dark and very empty and she said it feels like ur in a funieral home and tht she sawl unnatrule things there like figurerds and people screaming but hey idk shes crazzy
Your grandma was sent because she saw "angels". That's not crazy, the people that sent her there because of that reason, needs to be sent to a mental hospital. Not your grama. Many things are invisible to the human eye that are truly a reality. Its just not seen for every person. Its about faith.
Tear it down? Waste some more tax money. I think it should be used as a school or something, sure some buildings are probably obsolete, but why destroy it? And i there is active paranormal activity as I have heard, it would be great to investigate it. Stop tearing everything down, recycle what can be saved. This would be a perfect location for a school for the impaired or a rehabilitation facility. Just my 2 cents! Cool video, Metallica Rocks!!!
you make some great points, dude. Newtown is actually utilizing the HALL buildings (employee/faculty housing and administration buildings) for town related stuff. If you Google it, you'll see it's already in development! They are in the process of removing absectos and lead paint to make the buildings accessible.
Also check out my video on my main page; I went back up on Sunday and had a looksee :D
@craiger5 they actually built a new school directly across the street from it about 7 years ago, they want to tear most of them down because they have sever espestase (dont know the proper spelling) but allot of people have gotten really sick from being in the places. It's to sever to clear up so they dont have much other options of use other than to tear them down... is a shame though, the places are really cool to see
rofl, dude that is wicked awesome. Do you visit the place alot!?!? I'd love to hear any information you have on Fairfield Hills; I'm doing a research assignment on FSH & its former (or current, hehehe) inhabitants and I'd kill to hear any bit of information you have!!!
this video makes it seem alot spookyer than it is. There are little league baseball fields all around it. And resently they added this great indoor gym and track area were my high school goes to do track and this past weekend had a dodgeball tournament. Just about every teenager learns to drive around the roads there, and you can always see people running. For the history i know it was built in the 1930 and close in 1996. in the next 5 years there tearing it down which sucks cause its so cool.
lol yes, I added the black and white/slow motion part for thematic effect.
When my Dad and I went up, there was a kid learning to drive stick with his father, and a bunch of people jogging and walking dogs and stuff. I just think its so awesome that the buildings are still up...but they did already tear one of them down for a baseball field which kinda sucks and like you said the rest are on their way. Thanks for the info dude!!
is this in Connecticut? (I don't know if you mentioned that in your summary, if you did I didn't see it :O) me and my friends were talking about this place the other day, and I wanted to look into it more because me and my friends almost went there once :O ...(my friends ghost hunt, and I wanted to give it a try, even though I'd be scared shitless xD)
haha, yeap, this is in good ol' Connecticut, which has a huge history of haunted stuff. I plan on visiting back in the spring time with a friend named Alan who knows quite a plethora of information on the facility :D
There is a patient of that facility still living in newtown actually, idk if you'll get anything out of him but his name is George and he works at the shell station next to the blue colony dinner
well, it wasn't too bad, because my dad was with me and we visited early one morning. But yes, the loomy clouds that hung overhead and all the bars were very foreboding. I can't fathom the amount of pain and suffering patients endured here. I'm doing an ongoing research assignment for school on Fairfield Hills and it's former inhabitants, and it's very interesting to learn about this facility.
The strange thing about it is that its a public park sort of thing, with soccerfields and stuff on the grounds. People go there to walk their dogs and jog. Its kind of funny actually.
I've been there at night once, and that was kind of freaky, but it wasnt bad
yep I can't remember the name but one of the farther buildings on the left has construction vehicles all around it, and you can see these big bag things poking out of the windows. I guess their removing the asbestos or something?
have you been up here exploring, or anything? just wondering..
lol oh. I'm doing a school project on it, hoping to go up sometime when it snows or something. have you heard anything about the silent alarms there? I was on the lookout for anything in some of the ward rooms but couldn't find anything..
School Project? Where do u go to school? I'm in NHS. But, no, I had no clue there were any there, but then i saw a video and now, idk. Apparently there are, and unfortunately, the only way i know of getting in there, without getting caught, is behind the building furthest to the east, there is a sewer grate that leads to the tunnels.(I'm not positive if it's the East, maybe it's the west, but its behind one.) lol
I appreciate the info, dude. It's a freelance thing in school (college btw, SCSU). When I went there, one security truck, and thats it. I've seen (in pictures) the location you are talking about; theres construction all over the back part of the area, and I didn't really know where to look.
I'm planning on heading back up with some friends in the coming weeks. Would you want to meet up or anything? Keep me posted
That would be pretty cool, I went to one of my friends baseball games up there, and wandered around. There were at least 12 K9 units there, going in an out of the buildings. I was like "WTF?!" lol
how long ago was this? I was up there recently and had no trouble snooping around. I didn't get inside very much but I got some pretty good shots. One building is fenced off by about 50 feet, I'm not really sure why, maybe its crumbling inside.
Part of the townspeople want it kept there, but the town wants to tear it down and turn it into either, A state college or a Recreation center. (like the YMCA)
Yeah, what can ya do. Thats precisely why I'd like to get to spend some time inside there, get a ton of pictures, videos, etc, not even from a ghost-hunting perspective but just for urban exploration. It's nice to appreciate something as beautifully constructed like that.
i had to play a baseball game there i kept hearing noise from inside the buliding it was so scary and when i was walking to the field i felt somone push me and in the dogout it fellt like someone was breathing on me and sitting next to me it was so scary
yep, several scenes were shot in the tunnels. CTGhost hunter society has an incredible EVP of a tortured, misguided soul screaming "HELP....ME...HELP....ME....."
its right by foxwoods, and I'd love to check it out. And I wouldn't dare go on Halloween, because all the nubs go and get the state troopers out there.
But ya, when time rolls around, I'll letcha know :D
