He'll come good. On his day a better player than downing. I agree with some of the above to an extent. I think towards the end ashley young stopped crossing, that season 07-08 with the 17 assists it was just get it in the box no matter what, 08-09 he ran towards goal a lot more, last 2 years he was trying to do it all himself and did not play well behind the striker. Best left winger in the league, sad to see him go, but I think N'Zogbia will come good with time. Needs his confidence back

@MrLiamcfc Depends on the player you are looking for, Ashley young certainly suits manchester uniteds style of play compared to how N'Zogbia would be for us but N'Zogbia may be better suited for Aston Villa.
Ashley young can use his pace to beat players and do a spectacular pass to roonet or hernandez for them to score whereas N'Zogbia would try to do more work on his own

But as he got older he stopped dribbling and just looked for the cross everytime, which, unfortunately got worse and worse too :( however when I watched him play for you against west brom, he looked like his old self again so I guess it was just the right time for him to move on.
@10400274 Something you have to remember though. Almost every year Agbonlahor had a healthy season for villa he scored 10+ goals. He had a bad year last year because of injuries. Now that we'll have Darren Bent for a whole year and a healthy Gabby (hopefully) with the addition to this man on our squad, saying that Villa will be fighting relegation this year is insane.
He single handedly kept us up last season.. no lol, he was a big part and is a quality player but one player who made more of a impact is Ali, wish Zoggy luck though, deserves a chance, just hope he does go on the left, his strength lie on cutting in!
I guess by Ali you mean Al Habsi, yeah he's quality keeper, you must be over the moon with him for just 4 million! And yeah i know n'zogbia didn't single handedly keep you up last season, but 5 goals in the last six games surely helped!
@MrLiamcfc He defiantly hit his amazing form when we needed him, i think it was a team effort though, but Zog quality will be well missed, Villa have got one of the best wingers in the world i aint even joking!

I'd say the two are pretty equal' but N'zogbia is more exciting and ashley young, despite being a quality [player can be pretty frustrating at times!
