These eve videos help me a lot. thanks. Just started playing eve and I'm averaging like 10 kills a game but it seems they all come early to mid game. late game i fall off hard as it seems i get burst down way too fast. I was wondering if you could give me some advice on how i could be better late game eve. I change my build every time but i usually at least get mejai's, rage blade, and sheen. I have trouble with mana without blue buff as well so I even tried a archangel, manamune, sheen build.

your got carried, if you ever see a team like tsm or fnatic use eve then I might agree she is good, but she sucks in all aspects of the game but roaming, which means ur 2v1 lane gets zoned

As for the zoning of the 2v1 lane that was covered in the first vid, there are plenty of characters that can farm despite getting zoned. Gragas and Galio for example

@Garth2076 They have an actual jungler on their team. In part 1 he explains he jungles.He may counter jungle but he'll be extremely under leveled compared to creep scaling. Leeching is the best way besides kills

If you intend to kill someone as Evelynn, what's the point in not using ultimate? I always use it! It's free, and you get it off cooldown if you're successful!
This guide was so incredibly insightful. So insanely well put together that I started playing eve again. The tips and tricks given to me by you Judge have been incredibly helpful and I really don't mind Eve's nerfs anymore. Sure with the stun she was great and much more well sustained but even now she is an incredible pick and I commend you for putting in the time and effort to make us all see the light. *Subs*
I always play Eve and usually get the most rage when waiting on the timing, the amount of time people expect me to dive in on a 1v3 or 1v4 to try and save is amazing.
also it seems like every Eve video/guide has AD or hybrid builds (Gusanoo's and such). I play 100% AP stacked Eve and when you get your lich bane theres pretty much no stopping you

What happens when the enemy team has no jungler? I've done well against teams with junglers but it's a bit tougher for me to play against a non-jungle team.
I just played Eve for the first time. I wanted to make someone dodge because I had misclicked, so I grabbed Rally and Fortify, but no one dodged. Then I remembered that I had watched this, so I went ahead and roamed.
Great guide, man. I've been getting stuck with Eve in ARAM lately, and while at first I thought it was a bad thing, I've really started to have fun with her. And I do well! But I've never been much of an assassin so I was afraid to play her in normals; after this I'll definitely try her out.
I've found that even teams that use wards properly still get wrecked by Evelynn, because, like you can with all champions, he/she played smart. It's just outplaying the enemy, not being drastically superior. Like, every time I lane against a mid Heim with my Heim, I win, for I have practically mastered Heimerdinger, and know exactly how he works, where as the enemy Heim usually does not.
So I had a good feelin about this eve strat and i tried it.... eve can be OP. Started 8-0 and ended 20-10-17... AWESOME! Eve is worth the price, buy, play, enjoy!
That's a really good video! Only thing I would say is that you seem to "save" your ult a lot, even when chasing on assured kills that would refresh the cooldown anyway.

Eve is NOT a good hero. She's never been a "zomg awesome hero." She is a fun hero, yes. She was a decent hero before all her nerfs, now she's epic fail. Any smart player who wards properly (not as you said they do ward, but with a real brain) or knows how to play their lane right will have no problem with an eve.
Especially if it's a 5v5 match up and not solo queue fail
@Vicioussama "Any smart player who wards properly" This player may exist, but in solo queue there is never more than one of them to a team, even at 2k+. As far as 5v5 vs. solo queue, it's true against a very well organized team that doesn't make mistakes eve will have trouble being useful. But those teams only exist at the highest level. Sure a 5's team at 1500 elo can be coordinated, but so will the eve's team, and there are other strategies you can employ to counter their counters.

@Vicioussama I feel like we aren't in disagreement, we are just arguing different points. You have to keep in mind that the competitive scene only makes up .01% of the LOL community. Riot certainly keeps high level play in mind when balancing champions, but they simply cannot dedicate their entire design and balancing process to making all champions viable at the highest level of play.
@JudgeReinhoId Well, depends. If you're balancing in the competitive scene in mind, you generally do balance around the elites and the elites primarily. You do deal with the rest if you feel they are in line with the top tier or if you feel you can appease them while keeping things fine for top tier (This is far more rare and usually we see major remakes in other games when this happens).
For example, for PVP (SC1 and 2), blizzard primarily will talk with and focus on the pro gamers for balance
@JudgeReinhoId case in point? Evelynn and Twitch are getting quite massive remakes. They are trying to make it work for both high tier and other tiers. I just wish it'd come out :\ tbh, it sounds like it could possibly work.

Yo what do you do when the game goes late and the enemy team roams together very tightly packed and like 3 or more people have oracles on? I know you can be everywhere and see everything and so prevent people from ever escaping but is there a way to be useful in teamfights besides waiting for someone to get out of position? I was thinking it might be good to transition into some BD items like Ghostblade/Thornmail. Also how important is it to make the full Triforce after Sheen? Thanks
Watched it a few times, bought evelynn and played like 20 (normal) games with her in a row. If I pick her and instalock people just quit or yell at me, so ridiculous. Either way, after 3 games I stopped losing games and 15 games later I started actually carrying the team. I still see mistakes I'm making but WHOAH roaming is so much fun.

Eve can be good only when your team doesn't fail. If they do, they will constantly get destroyed in team fights and scream they can't win 4v5. This begs the question, why pick eve? She's almost as much of a fail as Shaco.
@SplashIto Yes. Tell me how she's better than a roaming alistar or twitch. In team fights, all she can do is run around finishing low hp enemies; but if your team fails, there won't be anyone with low hp, only 4 casualties on your side, maybe 1 on the other, and a lot of rage aimed at useless eve, which didn't even leave her stealth in order not to get killed along with others. Oh and good luck focusing that 3k hp rammus with oracle.
@Gaze51 Roaming Alistar doesn't have stealth. Roaming Twitch doesn't have slow. The roaming Eve is what gives your team the advantage, so that they don't fail. Of course no strategy is guaranteed. Also, lots of rage shouldn't happen since this works with specific comps and you're supposed to communicate with your team about this. We're theorycrafting here, because you haven't tried her and neither have I. Still, this guy shows results in his video. Y U NOT OPEN MIND.

good video, problem is, in every single game eve doesn't do anything that any other roaming char (alistair for ex.) could do 2 times better ,and the only thing i saw u doing in teamfights was last hitting champions, not to say that in every ocasion you, or someone of your team were already fed.
Not only a great guide, but also finally a guide after the eve nerf.
But there's one thing i'm missing.
What if your team in not capable of getting the enemy low enough for you to finish them, or if the enemy has champs like WW or Annie that will disable you as soon as you are visible where you will surely die?
This is as far as I'm away the bigest Con on eve. If opertunetie's don't open you you and your team are simply screwed.
Are "revealing" ults (such as Morgana's) ever an issue to you when playing Eve? If I'm pitted against Eve as Morg, it feels like a nice little perk to be able to know when the little blue menace might be hovering over me.
Great videos, absolutely fantastic. Roaming is a neat concept not often seen in LoL but it sure does land results even though I would probably bust an nut having some Evelynn love-poking me dozens of times during a match :=)
This guide actually made me want to play Eve, and I think that's a hell of a compliment. You should really make more guides, man. I mean it. You explain things well, you let some things speak for themselves, it was well organized, informative, you're reasonably eloquent and at times funny.

Riot's kinda bothering me as of late because it doesn't seem like they are thinking of the competitive scene and more the solo queue. Trying to balance for both is foolish

@Vicioussama I feel like we aren't in disagreement, we are just arguing different points. You have to keep in mind that the competitive scene only makes up .01% of the LOL community. Riot certainly keeps high level play in mind when balancing champions, but they simply cannot dedicate their entire design and balancing process to making all champions viable at the highest level of play.

@JudgeReinhoId Well, depends. If you're balancing in the competitive scene in mind, you generally do balance around the elites and the elites primarily. You do deal with the rest if you feel they are in line with the top tier or if you feel you can appease them while keeping things fine for top tier (This is far more rare and usually we see major remakes in other games when this happens).
For example, for PVP (SC1 and 2), blizzard primarily will talk with and focus on the pro gamers for balance

@JudgeReinhoId case in point? Evelynn and Twitch are getting quite massive remakes. They are trying to make it work for both high tier and other tiers. I just wish it'd come out :\ tbh, it sounds like it could possibly work.
Btw, I will say, you are right that eve can be incredibly fun and still viable in Solo Queue :P played her yesterday and ganked their GP so much in jungle (though I was forced to mid for some reason and we lost cause lag on servers :( )

Yo what do you do when the game goes late and the enemy team roams together very tightly packed and like 3 or more people have oracles on? I know you can be everywhere and see everything and so prevent people from ever escaping but is there a way to be useful in teamfights besides waiting for someone to get out of position? I was thinking it might be good to transition into some BD items like Ghostblade/Thornmail. Also how important is it to make the full Triforce after Sheen? Thanks

Watched it a few times, bought evelynn and played like 20 (normal) games with her in a row. If I pick her and instalock people just quit or yell at me, so ridiculous. Either way, after 3 games I stopped losing games and 15 games later I started actually carrying the team. I still see mistakes I'm making but WHOAH roaming is so much fun.

Eve can be good only when your team doesn't fail. If they do, they will constantly get destroyed in team fights and scream they can't win 4v5. This begs the question, why pick eve? She's almost as much of a fail as Shaco.

@SplashIto Yes. Tell me how she's better than a roaming alistar or twitch. In team fights, all she can do is run around finishing low hp enemies; but if your team fails, there won't be anyone with low hp, only 4 casualties on your side, maybe 1 on the other, and a lot of rage aimed at useless eve, which didn't even leave her stealth in order not to get killed along with others. Oh and good luck focusing that 3k hp rammus with oracle.

@Gaze51 Roaming Alistar doesn't have stealth. Roaming Twitch doesn't have slow. The roaming Eve is what gives your team the advantage, so that they don't fail. Of course no strategy is guaranteed. Also, lots of rage shouldn't happen since this works with specific comps and you're supposed to communicate with your team about this. We're theorycrafting here, because you haven't tried her and neither have I. Still, this guy shows results in his video. Y U NOT OPEN MIND.

good video, problem is, in every single game eve doesn't do anything that any other roaming char (alistair for ex.) could do 2 times better ,and the only thing i saw u doing in teamfights was last hitting champions, not to say that in every ocasion you, or someone of your team were already fed.

Not only a great guide, but also finally a guide after the eve nerf.
But there's one thing i'm missing.
What if your team in not capable of getting the enemy low enough for you to finish them, or if the enemy has champs like WW or Annie that will disable you as soon as you are visible where you will surely die?
This is as far as I'm away the bigest Con on eve. If opertunetie's don't open you you and your team are simply screwed.
