  • Great piece!!

  • D.E. YOU ARE KING OF THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD

  • WOW!!!!...This is fantastic....I have a lot of his work....Not sure How come I missed this!!!!....This is the first time I have heard this I think. Its absolutely marvelous.

  • superb

  • Jeff Lynne did not play on this track. Duane Eddy is playing everything you hear, except for the slide guitar, which is played by George Harrison. This was recorded at George's home, Friar Park, in 1987.

  • Jeff Lynne produced and is the "other" guitar you hear.

From "Duane Eddy & The Rebels" on Capitol in 1986.

  • Jeff Lynne produced and is the "other" guitar you hear.

  • 139666 YEAH !

  • Here's proof!! He really COULD play! His hits didn't need that much from him, but he was still a very big influence on millions of guitar players. Maybe that the hits encouraged average players to have a go...Gretsch, Guild, Gibson, Fender...they oughtta thank that guy for helping to sell so many guitars!

  • Kiss my American white-ass all your jealous foreign freaks! . . Ha. .Ha .. Yeah!

  • @Diogenes1360 Thank God Rockabilly is not only for American rednecks like you ha,ha,ha,ha!!!!

  • Ce son magnifique est éternel!Alain Bashung lui rend hommage dans un de ses titre, "elle passe la douane avec Eddy"!!!

  • such good music way way back then.....gets that old knee jerking...

  • I just thought of something. Just imagine just how much better Elvis would have been with Duane Eddy as his guitar player in the 50's. Pure 50's heaven!

  • @Xcorgi I like duane Eddy but in the fifties he was far than others guitarists like Cliff Gallup, James Burton, Eddie Cochran.

  • I think he was a huge influnce for The Reverned Horton Heat! This guy's music personifies and sets the standard for that awesome Gretch tone!

  • @Xcorgi he used a guild but he later used gretch i think, idk what he guitar he used on this recording

  • more

  • Apparently, the first thing Duane did with his blond Guild- pictured above- when he got home was to stuff it full of cotton wool through the f holes- to prevent feedback! Nice guitar!

  • Sono allibito, spiazzante, le corde della chitarra devono aver preso fuoco.

  • The Twangs the Thang

  • Danke für den tollen Sound von Duane Eddy

  • Rockabilly guitar at it's highest! God loves Duane. Amen!

  • This guy was awesome!

  • If you like this you might like Ezra Lee, Australian Rockabilly artist

  • He is (was?) one of the best!

  • Damn. Sure hate being born in the age of hip hop.

  • @discoguru i hear u there

  • Try learning: I must have drove my mules too hard by Jackie Lee Cochran;now that song is rockabilly.

  • anybody have the tabs to this. I've been searching google but nothing comes up.

  • This one is like a mixture of lots of other rock'n'roll, blues and country songs with a few new melodies thrown in. I'd suggest learning songs like That's Alright Mama, Guitar Boogie Shuffle, Blue Moon of Kentucky (Bkuegrass version) and then come back to this. Then you'll be just about able to play it by ear. Hope that helps. It's pretty standard rockabilly.

  • ultimate-guitar/tabs.

  • James Burton playing the rockabilly licks.

  • James Burton is not on this track, it's all Duane. However, George Harrison does play slide at the end.

  • @livestrongjrs

Nope, that's Duane Eddy playing those rockabilly licks. Recorded at Friar Park Studio, at George Harrison's home in England.
