@studentdebts Heres the link 2 the tune you were after the remix you were after its by nightmares on wax to the left. Nice work on the piano tune m8 thought u had cut up the amens, but sounds like u just pitched up the tune? hope this helps.
I was from London, but I drove to Sterns in Worthing and this was still being whapped. Monster tune - got some serious "occasions" on the breakdown. You know what I'm saying.
This was heavy, of course. But there was another Bodysnatch tune called 'The Bouncer' which was proper ruffneck (cant see it on youtube and I think i was the only Dj to play it on Weekend Rush' haha. Lost all me vinyl years ago and still having nightmares about it. Big up Crowland Rd, Dungeons, Nathan Way and Telepathy massive!!! Playin (deep) house again now coz that's where i started!!
Lots of people mentioning clubs so I just thought I would also give the legendary Innersense nights at the 'Lazerdrome' in Peckham a shout - that place was off the hook around '93/'94 - a real raw vibe! Also big up the Weekend Rush 94.5!
Proper bad boy tune !!!!!!!! reminds me of the good old days of paradise club angel islington , 1 of the best places for the darkest underground tunes ! Sh*t man ya made me feel old....oooh hang on i am getting old (41) the 90's ruled man not like some of or well most the crap people listen to now, an even when that rare once in a many blue moon a good tune do come out ya can bet it a mix up of old tunes!! thanks giza made me day finding this d;~p
They don't make em like they used to!!! Big tune!!!! Camden Palace all the way!!!!!!!! Dennis the Menaces and SnowballsThey were real Muswells, not like these fucking Mickey Mouse pills you get today. I'm to old for this now, I've gotta go lie down.
I just sent this bad boy to Leely. He's off of the 90's. He thinks a keyboard is either for playing swoop on or somewhere you leave ya car keys when you get um. The end.
@stuartc30 we did fivers, tenners, one nation, elevation.... loadsa top nights at roller express fkin brilliant place..! i remember one night bein totally mashed and goin for a lil sit down, as you do, and there was an inflatable castle, indoors!! it was perfect... no-one jumpin on it, just kaflolloped around the edge, talkin bolox.... brilliant!
@stuartc30 Yes yes, remember gettin comp tickets off KissFm for Legends -return of the godfather at the roller. Got lost in some industrial estate but followed the bass.
This is when the music was really at it's peak. Nothing can touch shit like this or maybe i'm showing my age age. PS Moose and Five O used to rrrrrip this tune with lyrics...
Bought this tune on white in unity records, london around 1993(i think)record got stolen at a party, and listening to it know, its still a god dam classic...........
Ladies and gentleman, don't be alarmed. I am from the old skool. I would like to mention that this song is a PHUCKING CHOOOOOON!! roll the drums! YEAH!
This is such a special tune. Oh my God. It perfectly sums up what was going on at the time - uplifting fulfilling beat, but still sufficiently dark undertone to remind you it ain't all fun fun fun like Happy Hardcore Land. Relentless rolling bassline. First heard on Weekend Rush MANY years ago.
dam u stopped raving back then u missed so meany dope tracks thank god for utube thoe i got in too dnb in 2000 every day since hypes subbase label realy pulled me in ive progressed to the sounds of tech itch an that hole secta
Stopped going raving by the time this came out, o have it on a few tapes though - admittedly it was one of the best tunes when the scene went overground
Cheers Maz - was trying to remember the name of the club in Southend that we heard this at - me and my mate couldn't remember for some strange reason! Thx
used to play this at mr b's a lot in southend(sarfend)...lol just for you sarfend the b's remix hahahah....the good old days flatliners,snowballs,doves,m25's.......new yorkers......
Will never tire of this. Way ahead of the game when it first appeared in 92 - with everyone playing the Kuff Mix at the time, and by summer of 93 people 'got' the Original Mix and this was being cained. Memories of the likes of Kool and Don blazing over London that year.
I always thought this was one of the best tunes to come out of the early rave scene and it stands the test of time as it could have been relesed today in terms of the sound. There's no hint of early synths. It's a true classic and up there with Trip II the Moon. Cheers for posting it Monsunamii.
