  • Haldol is just needed when TV doesn't do the trick on you.

  • when i was in the nut house for my ptsd it took 6 nurses and 2 docs to inject me. needless to say i won till a cop got me with a stun gun :( .

  • That was the worst drug that was ever given to me. It made me totally apathetic and numb and awful. I could hardly walk, infact. : (

  • I miss Mellaril..... damn....

  • Don't bury me I'm not dead!

Just brain dead. Thank you big pharma.

  • @mattamal1

    Psychiatry is murder...

  • Looking at the comments on this song make me sick to the gut. I better not say that someone might hold me down and shoot me up with this shit. It wouldnt be the 1st time its happened to me for simply voicing my opinion. Im a citizen of maryland taking in for a mental evaluation under my own will by a baltimore city police officer. I was taken to ummc and stripped of my clothing. pissed in a cup, and donated blood ok np. Then they wanted to inject me to make me relax. Rufused, pinned and drugged.

  • I love all of your songs!

  • ER docs who prescribe Haldol PRN are just careless because nurses don't know any better to not give it to someone who is extremely intoxicated or they do and just don't care.

    Get sued much?

  • I don't work in the medical field--I'm patient (who takes psych meds---even when I stayed in the psych ward--EXTREMELY anxiously and agitated, I kept requested Haldol ("Vitamin H"), and they would NOT give it too me! I asked for IV/IM Geodon/Ativan/Depakote/Benadryl, but they refused anything but pills. Finally, they agreed to my request of Klonopin 2 mg TID, Ativan 1 mg q4h prn, and Abilify 15 mg po daily--but by pill form only.

  • @ticks4ticks4 Usually if you request a specific med,it makes you look like a drug seeker or addict and makes people more hesitant to give them to you.

  • @ticks4ticks4 Might be due to risk of infection depending on your diagnosis, they may have pegged you for attention seeking so they where going to make you do things by their rules. Unfortunately that is how Psych is sometimes but it is changing, I promise. It just takes time for those changes to be made everywhere. You should be a consumer of mental health services not a victim of it.

  • 2mg IM PRN, q4h, lol. In yer veins!

  • Can't wait til someone invents aerosol haldol! Damn, I'd even spray some docs!

  • @peace2pits Or the "Haldol salt lick!"

  • @peace2pits hell yeah they need to invent candy with that shit in it and give to doctors and have them pass out doped up

  • I enjoyed this a great deal.

    Favorited!

  • God bless Vitamin H!

And ditto the poster who wished it could be dispensed via dart gun.

    I'd like that!

  • @xaltotunofpython I love my haldol

  • This was great! I work in a psychiatric unit and it's Haldol for the emergency situations. But, Ativan is the DOC among the 'anxious' med seekers. They literally line up for it. But, this was great. Keep 'em coming!

  • Grammy Nominee. CLASSIC

  • And when the haldol bottle runs dry....TLC Thorazine, Lorazepam, Cogentin, IM PRN......TO DESIRED EFFECT!!!

  • YES! love it! Dude, I've watched almost all of your "ED sing alongs" and I'm LOVING THEM! :)

As a fellow ER nurse, I just gotta say hell yeah! Keep it up! You keep our poor battered ER nursing spirits up :)

  • oh, and when it doesn't work............ that is when i wish we had a tranquilizer dart gun like on wild kingdom, or one of those net gun things.

  • Great video about "Vitamin H". Happy to share it with my co-workers at University Hospital in Birmingham.

  • Thanks lolitapita, it's about the lyrics, I know I can't sing, but I don't care. And the only range I want is the one that cooks my food. Hmmmm, pizza!

  • If your singing wasn't so bad, this wouldn't be as awesome..

  • Wish he could sing. The words are great. I think it's a range problem; could get more range with a few lessons.

  • so true!! I love your videos

  • Thanks, mohnke71, I think.
