With regards to Africans, yes I would have, though most came up from the United States. As far as other religions, Abrahamic religions came over with the original settlers. Shamanism (practiced by out aboriginals) is believed to have it's roots in the middle east. Hinduism and Buddhism came over with the Chinese workers that helped build the Canadian Pacific Railway - something that had a significant part in the building of our nation. Immigration came long before Trudeau.

Africans were brought over to the USA as slaves, and didn't come here willingly therefore that really doesn't count for anything since it was stay as a slave or help out here....I'm sure you would've picked the latter too. I never mentioned muslim as (as far as I know) there is no reputable record of when Muslim was first introduced into Canada. As far as Judaism and Islam, there isn't a reputable record of them either, so I guess I should have said "Christianity" as opposed to "Abrahamic", as Christianity was first brought over by Jaques Cartier and John Cabot. Hinduism and Budhism was likely introduced in the late 1800s as a result of Chinese immigrants, many of whom helped build our railroad
