@LiarGameSecretariat Well, Koreans do have their own language after all and being able to speak English is seen as an extra skill, just like someone from the English speaking world being able to speak a foreign language. And no English is not part of a normal Korean school curriculum but there are schools that do have English as a subject, these are not the normal schools but special ones like International schools etc.

It's a bit surprising, considering that she was born in the States. Nevertheless, I think it's great that SNSD has these English-speaking representatives for their overseas performances.
