i have always respected this fto, its a really strange choice for a drag car seeing as they dont have anywhere near the same amount of parts as other jap performance cars, my respect comes from the fact that the guy has built a car that was ignored by the aftermarket into a clearly capable fwd weapon, most people would have given up on any ideas of a build like that in an fto. i did, my mivec is just sat on my drive, i went out and bought an integra.

This video is 5 years old, and it was running. 12.4 second quarters then with 400bhp, now (in 2010) its running 11.1 second quarters with 600bhp no other FTO in the UK has even got into the 12's yet.

A standard FTO runs a 1/4 in arround 15 sec. This one runs it in 11.08

A Lamborghini Gallardo only runs it in 11.7

A Koenigsegg CC8S 12.3

A McLaren F1 11.10

no, it cant! there are only 2 other FTO's in the country at the moment that are capable of running 12 second passes, neither of them have quite managed it yet but they will next year, both have in the region of 5-600bhp

This FTO should be in the 10's next year.

To put that into perspective the fastest modified (but not turbo'd) FTO in the country runs a 14.4

his 11.09 was at shakespeare raceway end of last year, heads up with me :-) he pipped me, i did a 11.203 in my 460bhp impreza. we went heads up 5 days ago as well , i did an 11.8 , poor tyres , but i beat him :-D his throttle cable snapped lol , he's definately going to do a 10 this year.

If you knew anything about imports, you would know that all cars in Japan are limited to 180kph so all cars imported from japan to the uk are limited to 112mph but the limiter is easy to remove.

most fto's have tiptronic so it would sound like that when shifting. i have been in a 4cylinder one of these, they handle exceptionally well. made up until 01 or 02 i think.

I've got one (silver). Love it, looking at getting another new one one (manual) though the tiptronic is great to use it saps power a little. I'd have the manual GX (not gpx i prefer the GR/GX with it's slightly less bhp but typically better cared for in the used car market + strap on a supercharger = :) ) my missus can have the tiptronic, very nice cars all round and a massive bargain. Not as fast as my MK1 MR2 Supercharger but more practical and less (no) rust!

BUT, the Citroen DS is a classic, pioneering piece of machinery built in the 1960s and is easily the single most stylish car out there. the fastest FWD cars in the country have 60 foot times of 2.0, standard EVO's Scooby's if launched correctly will have a 60 ft time of 1.8 modified ones 1.6, they will always get a better start, and this was taken at the scooby shootout so this wasnt a standard scooby.
