  • i went 10 years ago......... bloody hard work!!!!!! i totally hated it the first few weeks i was there, but cried my bloody eyes out when i left! lol worth going but only if u r prepared to work until ur hands bleed! lol

  • i cant wait to start this course! ive had the form through the post and everythink!! :D

  • how early did you apply??

  • erm i cant remember the exact date but i think it was when i was 10

  • you applied 6 years before you went?!?! (assuming you went when you were 16!)

  • i havent been yet!

  • oh ok lol, on your profile it says your 21...

so you applied for the BRS 11 years ago?

(when i say 'applied' i mean, like sending in an application form etc)

    am i reading correctly lol?!

  • well the thing is im not 21 im only 11 lol but i started making videos and stuff so i created an account to broadcast them! i suspect some pple do that

  • oh ok, that makes more sense!

so you applied roughly a year before the course started?

sorry for the questions, i just am really considering going and need to know when to send in an application form!

  • well if you go on their website and join and click in the nine week course (i assume that is the one ur on about!) and down the side click on apply now. hope this helps!

  • @gabbybella123 I deally you should apply 6 months to a yrat before you want to attend so if you are 15 now and want to come when u finish school then the year before

  • what's a yrat? can i not just apply? (i'm 16 now :D)

  • oh no i get it! 6 months to a year before! Lol thanks for the advice :D

    have you been?

  • I really want to apply for this but I also want to go to 6th form. Would I be able to do this if I had a gap year?

  • You should apply as soon as possible. We get very full and once you have a space at the BRS we can work out the best course for you to attend on as we have courses start every month. You can apply on line from our website.

  • How long does it take to get a space? I'm 14 (year 10) now.

  • thats exactly what i'm planning to do!

i'm gonna do my A-levels then do this in my gap year!

  • i dont no if i should go to this one or northern one, i think northern one would be easier as its only 20mins away but this one looks amazing x

  • my dream is 2 be a jockey or 2 work on a racing yard. i am going 2 jockey school when i am older enoughxx

  • im so happy i got the chance my course starts on october 26th cnt wait 2 b there ova chrismtas

  • im doing the foundation course on june the 1st cant wait even though im a beginner im a bit nervous about the riding anyone got some tips for me much appreciated

  • I was at the BRS in July 2008, it was incredible. Unfortunatly for me, I had no experience working in a stable, though I had ridden for 4yrs. I wasnt able to pick it up fast enough & I was too slow around the yard. I was sent away to get more experience & i have. I was hoping to return on the June 1st course but Amy told it was full for now. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll do great. A great confidence boosting horse is Able Choice, I rode him alot, he's amazing ;)

  • heya i heard what you had wrote i want to go to the brs wen i leave school.

how much did you know already in the yard.

and how long was you there for the full 9 weeks

:) i really wanna go a graduate from there x

    ta

  • hey =D Well before I went to the BRS I hadnt done anything ever in a yard. I'd only ever ridden at riding school. So I was way behind everyone & I just couldnt pick it up fast enough, but there were a few others who were fine. The way they do things at the BRS is different from anywhere else I've worked since, it takes a long time. But you only need to look after 2 horses & you've got an hour to do it =) I was there for 4 weeks. Good Luck!!

  • i 13 but i the next 2 years i can wait it looks really goood

  • this is the only thing i want to do - the only thing that would make me truly happy. xxx

  • @cschouten87 SameexD

  • as soon as i'm old enough i'm gonna go :D i might go for one of the taster days soon :D i have an account in the members paddock

  • I'm coming in July this year, I cannot wait! Its all I've ever wanted to do, & you really have made 1 dream come true already. I've achieved the first step to becoming a jockey =D Thanks BRS

  • Wow! It looks brilliant! How do you get to go there? Can anyone go?

  • i luvved it and didn't want to leave!! - big thanx to all the instructors
