I'm sorry, but Wuthering Heights really IS the greatest love story of all time! Love can be pretty dark and depressing, that's the point. She may be a good actress but she doesn't seem particularly bright. She sounds a bit thick contradicting the interviewer, to be honest! She may not be thick, just my view...

@goldieRocket I think what she meant is that it is not a "love story" as Heathcliffe didn't reciprocate the love or treat her well. She's not saying it's not great but that it is not a love story in the full sense.

It's not a love story in the formulaic sense of boy meets girl, they live happily ever after, but it's still (imo) the greatest love story. She's not thick, that was a bit of a nasty thing to say. My opinions of the book are just clearly very strong and I'm taking it out on poor Kaya because, honestly, Kathy is THE part I would most like to play! Jealous, much!
