@Liyahzinha1 I don't doubt that what she's doing isn't easy, But this isn't the hardest work I've seen either. She's not on time with the song, She repeats herself, She isn't doing anything unique. She either needs better songs, some acting classes or back to belly dancing class.

Ansuya no es la mejor, de hecho carece de tecnica, me refiero a postura de pies y brazos etc. pero tiene muchisimo angel para bailar, de hecho a pesar de su falta de tecnica y todo lo demas, es la bailarina mas entretenida de ver, aunque repita pasos etc. cuando la ves nunca te aburres, a mi me pasa no se.

I love Ansuya and her attitude.She is so pretty and she dance very beautiful but the world of middle eastern dance is more than the BDSS.Ansuya becomes a little bit boring when you have seen her several times (you like it or not).For example: Sadie is one of the greatest bellydancers I´ve ever seen and so much better than Ansuya,by the way did you wonder why she wasn´t a BDSS? Maybe´cos Jillina was too jealous about her lol!!

In dance, the point is to understand the essence of whatever it is that you are trying to communicate. "As the spirit wanes, the form appears"...This woman has so much life in her dance. Ansuya is engaging and makes her art appear effortless. Perhaps that is why so many people are hating on her! Much Success to Ansuya and other dancers like her.

Yes, she is a pretty girl & her dance is engaging due to the energy level she puts out, but she limits her dance to 4 basic moves; hip,shoulder shimmy's, hair tossing & spins. Not much to her choreg, which reflects little imagination & lack of strong teaching. Seasoned BD's who aren't afraid to post the truth will say the same.

honestly i'm tired of people critizising(sp i know) Ansuya. Even tough it is opinionated. I think she's great. besides, if she wasn't, then why whould she be in belly dance superstars? yeah she may not be like the others, but she has her own unique way and besides, can anyone have goo form while playing zills? i know i can't. i'm trying to keep my posture perfect while keeping the beat with the zills. After watching Suhaila, Jillina and Rachel Brice, I can't help but agree that Ansuya looks unsophisticated by comparison ... of course she doesn't pretend to be anything other than an American cabaret style, i.e. a "hippie dancer," so calling her that is not exactly a huge criticism. Her smile and exuberance are infectious, and she has "it," that ineffable quality that makes you want to watch. I've seen plenty of technically more interesting dancers, but so what?

How can she keep her palms closed when she is playing zills? really now. She is not an arabic dancer. As for her consistent zill playing, you need to watch more old classic egyptian videos with zills. Even watch a REAL turkish one with zills. In turkey, a dancer is not accomplished if she doe snot play zills along with music.
