I watched a group of flies on a piece of shit last week, I have some amazing photographs, wished I'd filmed them now - although my Panasonic Lumic is no where as clear and fantastic as this. What's the music you used? I like ....

I own the successor of the lens used in this video, it's very similar, and at that level of magnification you just can't get the whole fly perfectly in focus.
It could have been done a little better, but macro shooting has limitations.
The aperture required to get all of the fly equally focused would cause a terrible loss in sharpness to diffraction, with an 18MP APS-C sensor, sharpness will start decreasing as soon as f/6.3, f/11 is the maximum I ever use seriously.
Nice vid, Indeed very shallow depth of field, what Aparture you used? Is noise really going to be bad if you turn up the aparture to get the whole fly in focus in these lighting conditions?
