The Twilight films were the luckiest people in the world when they got Howard Shore, just remember that Twi-hards. You have been extremely lucky with the films scores; Carter Burwell, Alexandre Desplat and Howard Shore. Three of the Greatest Composers that have ever lived.

Remember what happened between the 3 of them? Well I'm in Jacob's position just without the supernatural part of the story. It's almost completely identical and it sucks because she knows but won't let me go.
Okay, fellow Howard Shore fans, I loved TLotR soundtrack, and never judge a soundtrack b it's movie but... Does this sound s little... Simplistic to anyone else? I mean, coming from the timeless-epic-battle-to-end-all-life soundtrack to this is not really all that spectacular. It's pretty at best but otherwise... I expected more from a high-ticket name like Howard Shore. The Lord of the Rings was definitely his shining moment.

@OkamiGohan When I started listening this, I had high expectations because I'm a huge fan of Shore's work and some of TLotR soundtracks were near to perfect. At first I was a little disappointed, and I thought exactly the same way as you. But after a while of listening, I remembered that in composing, especially in ballads like this, less is more. And like Mrs45bookworm said, jumping from epic battle music to this shows how skilled Shore is! =)

@Xleah01 I know. That is the reason i hate Bella. Its not that she gets the guys. no its that when she moans and whines about losing edward in new moon, she doesn't go after him. she just stays at home to mope and tries to get herself killed just to see a hallucination of him.

@writergurl12345 In "New Moon", I was so annoyed by Bella's constant whining and it really pissed me off how she used Jacob. He is the only character that can hold my interest. Edward's character comes off as manipulating & psychologically abusive. He left her alone in the woods when he knew that there was a vampire that wanted her dead. However, Edward can never do no wrong and mentally challenged Bella obsesses over him anyway. Wow, talk about a healthy relationship.

@Xleah01 no she doesnt..if u read the books, you'll know her actually persona nd expressions.she's not depressed.alot of times she is just deep in thought or frustrated & most of the time just having an inward battle with herself (because of her chosing Edward but not wanting to lose her bestfriend Jacob) she is not depressed.

Most of the girls I know would kill to have a guy like Jacob or Edward, Bella has a great family, awesome friends... In all honesty, there's nothing terribly wrong with her life. So why is she so freaking sad?!

i cant egin to describe how amazing this song is. i listen to it everyday!!! especially when i come home from a rough day of school, it makes me feel like someone undertands. i play it when i read, draw, AND sleep. all these songs are just PERFECT for the twilight series. it just ties it all together

I don't get why people say Twilight suck and people who like it start bitching to people who don't. People have different likes and dislikes! I personaly love the series, but I know a lot of people who don't and I don't care because there different from me and they don't have to like the same things as I do.

I love this song...it was so easy to learn on the piano just by listening to it. I didn't even have to practice, the melody just kind of stuck with me. I <3 Howard Shore, respect him so much as a composer -- huge fan of his work on Lord of the Rings. Classic. Iconic.

Remember what happened between the 3 of them? Well I'm in Jacob's position just without the supernatural part of the story. It's almost completely identical and it sucks because she knows but won't let me go.

Okay, fellow Howard Shore fans, I loved TLotR soundtrack, and never judge a soundtrack b it's movie but... Does this sound s little... Simplistic to anyone else? I mean, coming from the timeless-epic-battle-to-end-all-life soundtrack to this is not really all that spectacular. It's pretty at best but otherwise... I expected more from a high-ticket name like Howard Shore. The Lord of the Rings was definitely his shining moment.

@OkamiGohan i see what you mean... but maybe thats what makes the song so beautiful... the simplicity, its so stripped back and minimalistic that it fits well! but i agree with you, perhaps not his best or most spectacular piece, but it is so different i just find it to show him as a better composer.. it shows great variety in his composition work! :)

@OkamiGohan When I started listening this, I had high expectations because I'm a huge fan of Shore's work and some of TLotR soundtracks were near to perfect. At first I was a little disappointed, and I thought exactly the same way as you. But after a while of listening, I remembered that in composing, especially in ballads like this, less is more. And like Mrs45bookworm said, jumping from epic battle music to this shows how skilled Shore is! =)
