I'm a hunter myself and I'd kill a porcupine for food as well, but I never feel good about getting a kill and I sure as hell never take a camera out so everyone can watch me kill a defenseless animal. I have no problem with hunting. I would like to maybe hunt something one day. I do think porcupines are adorable and I'm kinda sad that these guys killed one. However, everything dies. Animals kill other animals constantly. All I can hope is that they didn't waste the animal's life and at least ate it afterwards.

While I don't condone shooting an animal just for fun, porcupines are a very dangerous animal. They'er extremely inquisitive which leads to camping and pet nightmares, they are also notorious for caring rabies. IF your going to shoot it make use of him, his quills are traditionally used on Native american clothing so donate the body to an traditional native artist. I'm not for killing animals unless they pose a threat to me, but reaslitically, where do you guys think all the food comes from we eat. Meat, fish, chicken.
