Samurai Shodown 5 does not have fatalities. Now SS5 Special is different. It has fatalities galore! Unfortunately, it's not part of this collection. Unless you have the original game for Neo Geo or some download online, it won't be available for the USA. It was officially one of the last games for Neo Geo so SNK did not want to release it for other systems.

i got this game and it's one of the greatest 2d fighting game collections i ever played. My favorite ones are 4 and 6 but i had thoughts about breaking this game cause haohmaru whooped me about 20 times straight in amakusa's castle in part 4 and the game was on normal. He knew exactly what 2 do against my every move and while I do enjoy a challenge he was really pissing me off!! I felt like kicking my tv in the stomach

I finally got the PS2 version of SSA 3 days ago. I am thrilled to say this game is awesome. This will keep me busy for a long time and I haven't stop playing it. On the PS2 version you can also play as "Kuroko" (which is my top 3 favorite). He is pretty much powerful character with a large range of projectiles and the flag strikes are super quick and deadly. You can play as Poppy and Pak Pak the little monkey. Anyways, it's one great package and no regrets that I invested in such a classic!

I'm posting this for people who want to know if the game is censored. Just played roughly 2 hours of Samurai Shodown 1 and 2. From what I read in posts online (for SS2), it seems easier to show blood burst deaths and body halving in VS Mode. Well all I have to say is.... VICTOLY! It's random so the computer decides what will happen on the finishing move. I was only able to get the blood burst on SS1. If this game was censored at least SS2 seems ok. The game is still awesome regardless. :)

I read you can cut someone in half on the SNK Classics game for PS2 but no blood fountain death move. From what you posted it looks like the blood fountain move is available on the PS2 Anthology. I don't think you can get both. If not, I guess I'll have to get SNK Classics too. I'll have to try both out to confirm it.

The only shitty thing about the game is the Intro sequence. They could have made a better intro to it, and you can tell they didnt take much creativeness to make the Intro sequence really good. Anyway overall its a well rounded game. There is no SSV special on this game, sorry to say

I have the PSP version that came out recently and as what others have said, NO SSVI Special. The older versions I've played on this game was great and brought memories back in the days when everyone gathered together to compete in the arcades. I've already ordered the SSA for PS2 (got it on eBay) it actually is going to be delivered from Canada. My only opinion for SSVI for PSP is that it was okay and I guess it's going to take awhile to get adjusted to the timing and the execution to play it.

I-IV are awesome, but V and VI are downers, due to missing gameplay elements, and NO FATALITIES OR BLOOD, which helped make tha series as great as it is. Overall, I'm estatic about having the series to play on my PS3, but other than that, I'm a little hurt!!!

I just got my Samurai Shodown copy today. It only took the next day to arrive with FREE FAST DELIVERY through UPS. The game is so good so far, but I am having a bad feeling about SS6. It is my first time playing SS6 for the first time but the sprites and background doesn't seem to fit quite well or maybe the sprites don't look right to me for some reason. Unfortunately no but it's a great game! mines justed arrived. it has samurai showdown 6 in it's own game,a vs mode a arcade mode and a practice mode. color edit save load sound setting and game option. they really did make it a classic game it has blood except for SS6 but it's definetly worth getting! ^_^

What? No 5 Special? If that's the case, SNK Playmore should have given the game to another company for release in the US. Crave ( same company that released KOF Orochi Saga) which is in charge of the US release took too long. Ignition which was in charge of the PAL version didn't take too long. ignition should have been in charge of this one. Maybe they could have added 5 Special.

I don't really trust GameStop employees in general. The experience I had with them is that they are too busy having conversations with each other to do anything else. On top of that, if the game you're looking for is not mainstream, they don't seem too intersted in helping you. Back in February, I asked a manager when KOF 98 UM would come out. He told me nothing was in the system. He then went on to do something else. Excuse me but I wasn't done asking questions. I ended up leaving the store.

Crave is the company that's working on this. They worked on the US release of King of Fighters Orochi Saga which had glitches. That was released 4Q last year. I'm hoping there are no glitches in Samurai Shodown Anthology.

Did you get KOF 98 Ultimate Match? That was done by Ignition which is glitch free. It includes the original KOF 98 and the new version. This company also released Samurai Shodown Anthology (PAL/European version). No V Special but at least it's glitch free. Wished they worked on the US version as well. Not too sure of Crave which is in charge of the US release :(

Hopefully, it will come out soon. Everywhere I look it shows March 24th or April 7th. I don't think anyone knows for sure. Heard that the publisher making the US version is the same one that did King of Fighters Orochi Saga. There were some glitches in that collection. Guessing they are fixing any glitches in this anthology before they release it.

I look every day on websites to see when this will come out. Amazon and Walmart show 03/24/09. Bestbuy shows 03/31/09.Gamestop doesn't show a PS2 version coming out but shows PSP and Wii coming out 04/07/09. Target shows it will be available in 2-6 weeks. Ebay says 03/17/09. The point is no one knows right now. 5 Special? From what I've read, it's included at least in the US version. I've read it's not included in the European version. I'm with you man. I can't wait!

the psp version will come out in march 10, but it switch to april 7 (it backed out on me and i hated it when they change release date). i order it 2 months ago. i am not worry (or i am worry), i can wait for for myself and 4 the world when it release this game on psp. "but the month will go fast".

how hard is it to make a collection of some old 2d fighting games and put them on a disc and send them out? the home ported versions were horrible, especially the snes- they never got neogeo games done right. i use to play it a bit with my homies in the donut shop. that place is still there, except for the arcade games
