  • Nice easy and slow approach so we can get it and then the "summary" of what you taught..great vid..and thanks...great song!-Joni

  • thanks a lot. after a few minutes of practice, i can play it with my eyes closed

  • Thanks man

  • that helped me out so much thanks man.

  • wow bro can you go any faster...

  • nice job man

i found this vid very usefull, thanks

  • Nice job dude , most accurate ive seen so far ...

  • anything worth doing is never easy, my thumb was nearly severed and i get so frustrated picking on my guitar because my pick slips and slides but i would never think of giving up because with the guitar i am never bored. its like magic, really.

  • yeah the guitar is like magic . today before i had to appear in court for disorderly conduct i was seriously fucking jamming some punk rock shit on my guitar . i felt so much better after wards !

  • thats brilliant, i actually had to go to court for skating in an empty parking lot. it was the height of absurdity, but have you heard a mint song by the undertones called "teenage kicks" its a legendary punk song, really easy to play and sounds awesome at loud volumes, cheers

  • don't give up, man!!

  • easier to use the open d string rather then playing the note at the fifth fret of the a string

  • awesome!

  • dude can you show me how to play "hey" by pixies? i want to know how's the first guitar is played

  • Same. Its funny, the chording is simple on it but I cannot for the life of me get the hand motions right to play it.

  • thanks, this is good

  • very easy to learn. finally starting to use my pinky.

  • no f-bombs please

  • bollocks then.

  • I'm not familiar with that word.

  • Lol, stop being a buzzkill. FUCKING FUCKITY FUCK WITH A SIDE OF CHICKEN McFUCK!

  • no f-bombs pleez

  • hey, for those of us that are retards this is very helpful even if it doesn't help music savvy people like yourself sir.

  • I think this is a quicker way to learn

  • Could you post a video teaching us how to play "Hey" by the Pixies? I've seen the tab but I cant figure out how it goes. Thanks.

  • respect paid dide

  • MUy buen video !!!

  • thanks for the lesson

  • u no what its just reely cool that you like the pixies and made this lesson. kool

  • this lesson actualy is teaching the bass not the guitar. nice try

  • The guitar also plays it and you are good these guitar lessons

  • come on guys, he's taking his own personal time to teach us something, least you can do is google the damn cords, chords and notes :D

thx for the lesson, turned out great after following it twice.

  • its actually pretty easy i looked up the tabs first, learned to play it, then found this by accident. but it does take practice to get it perfect

  • the lessonn is too fast take some time showing us whare the fingers go slower, good lesson though

  • cool..... any body here to help me get the song??.... i never listen the song....

  • by jove..you make it look so easy!! wish I could play this as it's one of my fave songs but i've got lobster claws for hands!! >:(

  • wow, this sweet brit explained this well. I got the tabs online, and it didn't sound right. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong! Thank you faceless stranger! You explained this beautifully.

    -Sara

  • HOLY CRAP! Now I now what I was doing wrong...lol..at the end of the riff, I was playing all those notes on the e string instead of the a string...right frets, wrong string..so wrong notes...thought i was crazy for aminute there...but no, just stupid...I watched this video like times and somehow was still terribly confused...lol...oh but come on, that chord at the beginning is a bit obscure, no? I still can't even remember what you called it exatly...but, really, good lesson, man...

  • okay...first, sorry bout the double post..I thought my first one didn't get posted....Also I was wrong about the low e string note sequence...but pretty sure I'm right about the opening chord...anyway, thanks for posting this video...I can play it now..just not up to speed

  • You're right about one thing, I do kind of assume everyone knows the string names and note names so beginners sometimes play the wrong string/note/fret or whatever. Unforunately, I have to do this as it would waste a lot of time going over the same basics in every lesson. Sorry!

  • in the opening chord, the high e is supposed to be muted....maybe figuring that out on my own is a good way to learn....? Also, the low e note sequence confused the hell outta me...I still don't get it...not sounding right when I play it....something got left out, I'm convinced

  • I appreciate the free lesson...and it did help me out somewhat....and I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth....but I feel I should point out that this lesson is a bit confusing for someone like me who is new to the guitar. First, it took me a while to realize that in the opening chord, the high e is supposed to be muted...also, the note sequence on the low E is confusing to me....you left something out 'cause it is not sounding right when i do it

  • cool lesson, thanks
