I recently purchased an oil of oregano from NOW Foods. It is stated on the bottle that it is meant for aromatherapy use, which I assume means it isn't cut with olive oil. Many of the other products (I'm unsure of NAHS oregano oil) are diluted with olive oil because this stuff is so potent. My question is, should I be worried about simply diluting this pure stuff with water and taking it internally?

I have cured a absessed tooth with oregano oil , I have used it to get over flu and yeast infection . a couple of years ago I got poison ivy on my face and rubbed the oil on my face ,the pain was excrutiating it burned like i was on fire however within 3 hours the poison ivy rash was GONE !

Oil of Oregano worked on my folliculitis. I have had it for more than 4 years and nothing else worked. No antibiotics not even some other really powerful drug that dries your skin which I don't remember its name. Great stuff. I applied it topically 3 times per day and rub it on my skin. Make sure it doesn't go to your eyes. It is very strong and you will feel it working right away. It has a strong odor too so be prepared for it.

I used it for the pain of an ulcer 15 drops in a capsule a few times a day when hurting(use some food after it, burping it up is nasty! burning!). When I learned the power of cashews to kill bacteria I switched to a few cashews every waking hour for a couple weeks and knocked it out. The OREGANO I used for pain didn't kill the Hpylori but cashews did. He didn't mention pain though...

I've used oregano oil re-actively to treat colds (not preventatively) and it works great! My problem is that when I tried to use it topically it burns so painfully that I had to wash it off and apply cold compresses to manage the pain. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if anyone has any insight?
Dr Ingram is quite an interesting character...will have to try the oregano oil again - tried it in the past but perhaps not long enough to see any real benefits.
I love Oil of Oreg. use it for almost everything that would normally require antibiotics, I also love colloidal Silver and use it the same way, for just about everything. I have heard that both OOO and CS are as strong as our most powerful antibiotics but they do not nuke all the good bacteria like antibiotics do.

@hunnedfourthstreet I found North American herb and spice at Boneys. Probably most healthfood stores will have some form of p73. I got the juice and it works great for my dog and I . I am sure the oil works just as well.

I am going to experiment here and rub it on my ankles which get extreme edema - swelling, pitting and PAIN to the point where my foot area feels like bricks and I can barely carry myself around/walk around. @hooperqi I buy mine at a local organic co op. You can find it at places like Whole Foods as well. Look for it in the bath and body care aisles, around the aromatherapy oils. It is not the same as oregano herbs, like liquid or pill oregano herb for example - it's actual potent oil. Hope that helps!

You should only use oregano oil in a diluted form. If you use it straight, of course it will burn your throat or skin.
