Everything about this song is fuckin' brilliant. The interplay between the piano and organ blows me away. Blonde on Blonde is a perfect album in every way.
42 years ago, much as I loved it, I failed to recognize the piano line that runs through, & drives this song. Now it grabs me just as much as the stark lyric and Bob's vocal presentation.
This, I want you, and Memphis blues....the best consecutive 3 songs on any album ever. This song is one of the most uplifting I've ever heard (Although U2's unknown caller is up there too). The piano...wow.
you just happened to be there thats all... i didnt know u wer sayn goodbye for good-hes just absolutely stunning, the best songwriter ever-in my opinion

You're my anti-youtube hero, peddler, replacing so much Blonde on Blonde stuff. Greatest album of all time.

This was my fave song in 1966 and that confluence of harmonica, piano and organ still knocks me out.
