As a Social Worker, I think the experience that Obama has a Community Organizer shows his belief and desire to motivate and move people towards change. Working with middle and lower class individuals proves that this man has a focus on bridging the class gap and empowering America's working class individuals.
Frank Luntz has to be aggressive because the point of these focus groups is to learn as much as possible from everyone there. He has a limited time to hear from everyone, so he needs substantive answers QUICK!
"We're not voting for a rock star". It isn't that he's a rock star, it's that what he has inside him resonates with people. He is a smart, passionate (maybe even great) man. There is substance behind his rhetoric. He means what he says, and people can sense that we are on the brink of transforming the United States for decades to come.
someone is talking about the Federal reserve and currency management, changeing foreign policy to with in one year have old mothballed bases and local economys back in the United States.instead of kuwait, germany, japan, korea, ectectect.lower taxes.but if neo-conservatives are getting the white house for another 4 im going for Obama he is a way better front man then Bush or clinton.lobbing lawyers all the way!
An Obama presidency would present, as a distinctly American face, a man of African descent, born in the nation's youngest state, with a childhood spent partly in Asia, among Muslims. No public relations campaign could do more than Obama's mere presence in the White House to defuse anti-American passion around the world, nor could any political experience surpass Obama's life story in preparing a president to understand the American character.

omg, ok almost every other news network had the testers split 50:50 almost. Since this is Fox news and they hate hillary i wouldnt be suprised if this were rigged and/or they chose bias people.
That said i am an Obama supporter, but i am a supporter of truth also thats why i bring this up
I thought Obama did really well in that debate. He does much better in a one on one setting. I'm glad he drove home the point about his opposition to Iraq and her support for it. That's the part of her record you don't hear mentioned too much when the Clintons are out campaigning. Hillary lied at least half a dozen times during that debate.
I'm not anti Obama or pro Hitlary but honestly Frank Luntz is a pile of crap. He's a manipulative disgrace to Fox (which is quickly becoming as reliable as a tabloid).
You are right on target...its so obvious how Fox News and some other station present their favorites! It's shameful... Politics is a dirty game for some and media use it to influence the public!
I was very impressed with Obama's knowledge of the economy. One point, I appreciate the fact the he rejects Clinton's idea of freezing interest rate for current homeowners because that would raise rate for new homeowners and making it much hard for new buyers to purchase.
did u seee how the young girl in the blue had nothing great to say about hillary....she went on this subliminal breakdown of obma supporters....sounds like hillary has no ammo other than bill clinton.. shes exposed.
Vote Obama 2008 for the RIGHT change! Feb 9th is caucus for Obama in Washington State; I believe it is same for many states. Call your Democratic Party in your state; find out where and when caucus for Obama will be held near you! In order to vote for him, he has to win the Democratic nomination! Go get out there and caucus for Obama; most times is close at schools near you!
Go Obama 2008, caucus for the right change, caucus for accountability, caucus for honesty! Vote for Obama 2008!
it's not at all about experience...barak said it best in his response, that he will exercise good judgment from day one...barak obama has shown his good judgment by opposing the war from the beginning...he provides a sharp contrast to the republicans...hillary wouldnt do well on this issue...barak has also been very consistent and extremely civil throughout his campaign which further shows his inability to falter...if we as democrats want to win the white house, it will be much easier with obama
So I'm not the only one that thought Hillary was boring. I guess there's many that think the same. I used to turn off the TV on politics because I hear the same things over and over. Obama is the only reason I keep switching the news channels just to see what's new with Obama. People listen to him. The youth which is our future listen to him. He's the one to unite us all and fix things, not Hillary.
John Cleese is great. He's a university professor, as well as an actor. Very smart man and great insight with respect to just what 'experience' means.
GREAT POINT MADE BY THE GUY TALKING ABOUT HILLARY'S EXPERIENCE!!! I MEAN HILLARY IS 60 AND OBAMA 46 SO THERE YOU GO WITH THE "35 YRS OF EXPERIENCE" and Im just wondering what would that experience consist of if she wasn't the First Lady? no doubt she is a intelligent woman but she is also flip-flop and that gives me te feeling she would accept anything as long as is the most convininet thing to do for HER..that's the HUGEEE DIFFERENCE between Obama and Hillary!
Actually, Frank Luntz (despite being a right-wing douche) is extremely credible, and his research is as scientific as polling gets. He knows how to determine what works politically and what doesn't and he said Obama was the most electable Democratic candidate when he was a guest on Bill Maher's show months ago, before the writer's strike even hit.
What I am looking for in the Presidential candidate:Integrity.Operates from truth & not just when it is convenient. Doesn't parse positions & decisions, but is straight-forward. Not pretentious. Doesn't lie.Intelligent.Knowledge that our security is based on the respect from other free nations & peoples & not just our military power. Issues. Addresses the poor. Expects the We the People to be a part of the democracy. Abolishes corporate lobbyists. Follows the Constitution.OBAMA FOR AMERICA.
John Cleese made a good point at the end there: working with working class people, community organizing as Obama has, should really be valued more than schmoozing with the rich and powerful, as the Clintons and Bushes have now for the last two decades. If only more people reasoned things out the way Mr. Cleese does. I'm glad Fox News randomly through him in there.
The girl in the back could not offer any reason why she supports Hillary, except to say she is not voting for a rock star. Hillary's experience is sending people to war, breaking a signed UN Charter and saying, "oops we acted on faulty intelligence". she says "we need better intelligence". Why does everyone say sh e is intelligent? She already wants into Iran when we can not pay for Iraq.
Intellingence has a lot to do with this but we dont know if she's more intelligent than Obama but by the point of view each have i would say Obama is more Intelligent. the most important thing is the point of view the candidates have towards each isssue, but most women are going for Hillary just because she is a woman and not actually voting for what she is going to do as president.
Finally...it's good to see some Americans have respect for the UN Charter! It's honestly hard to see that from overseas, even (or especially) when you live in one of America's closest allies (Australia)!
trying to get a non smear segment of dems on fox is like pulling teeth, I would be hesitant borrowing any clip from them, they are just trying to float new smears.
so true about the experience issue... barack may not have as much political experience, but that's not what matters. experience with common citizens is just as important - he has that, because he knows what america needs. and come on - lots of inspiring presidents have had little experience but were amazing in office because of their beliefs. barack will be just that if elected in '08.
Yikes! Obama as president? Why doesn't he just release a broken record? "Change Change Change Change Change" It would be the same thing. For that matter the girl's would be literally right about the rock star comment.
As most Bush-reps, McCain is no option for a thinking human being anymore. Not after THESE 8 years.
i think this Bush doll knows that himself if hes not totally blind.
So on the finish run he gonna try to blind as many voters by bitching, bashing and accusing Obama in his need of real arguments.
