Actually this deer doesn't have good genetics. He doesn't have one point off the main beam that is over 6 inches long. If he was ever goin to amount to anything, he would have already put the tine length on before he started throwing on drop tines. He is a unique buck, but he won't score good because what is impressive aobut his rack (extras and width) don't put that many inches on a deer.

deer in texas only grow between 120-130 pounds, only few get much bigger when they are fully grown, so it can look small and have a huge rack. Unlike deer in the iowa, Pennsylvania, ect.....were they can grow to be 200 pounds, some bigger.

I was speaking of body size, which has nothing to do with rack size.

I'm not trying to be antagonistic...just stating the facts. There is nothing wrong with a small bodied large racked deer in east TX. Likewise, there is nothing wrong with an 8 pointer that dresses out at over 300 pounds in Saskatchewan.
