a very talented woman. however this is a song requiring nuance and restrained wit. Ms. Ground performs it with a brassy vengence, as if she were proving herself to a director she thought was going to cast her as Madame Rose... all brass and bravado. She is more a "Rose" than a "Phyllis".... and I'd buy a ticket to see her in GYPSY

This was recorded live (not in a studio as was Diana Rigg's rendition) and as part of a concert, not a production of the London "Follies." I think this amazing woman should be a star on Broadway!
