Such a beautiful video! The 5D II really looks amazingly clear. Do you find that the 1.2 lens makes a big difference in image quality? I've got the 7D with 17-55 zoom lens.
Unfortunately I didn't have the adjustable ND when I shot this, so it was wide open and high shutter which you can see. This is all uncolor corrected, edited in Movie Player, just cut and paste put together.
0:01 The trick is not to "follow" the action but rather let the action flow across the frame then slightly pan around. Too many people rush to follow the subject and as a result end up with camera shake.

1.2 aperture - Variable Shutter based on Light

Stunning video. Did you shoot this with a ND filter or did you shoot it wide open at 1.2 only?

I think the camera operator is pretty skilled. How can the average joe just shoot an image like that? That guy must have been shooting for decades.

Ford, is this the new cam you got that Jed has been telling me about? He said you said it's a great one. See ya.

This was executed beautifully here. The only movement we really see is the kid and not the camera.

I need to get me one of those 5d mark II, that camera rocks

What a darling busy boy. Looks like a fun preschool.

Sweet!
You need to learn to get more focus control, but lovely movie

I think there is a very short depth of field shooting at a 1.2 aperture. The point is for things to go in and out of focus.

That's a very good effect, though. Terrific!!
