Skepticism is basically another word for agnostic - If science and everything as we know it probably isn't true, then neither is religion. But as science and theism doesn't compare under the same metaphysical conditions, there is a theoretical possibility there is a god, unlike science which we know isn't true.

If you are going to deny the theory of evolution, then you might as well deny the theory of gravity. @mechanicmike69 The whole principle behind skepticism is that anything we think we know can just as easily be completely false (due to sensory limitations, Heisenberg's uncertainty etc). Skepticism is basically another word for agnostic - If science and everything as we know it probably isn't true, then neither is religion. But as science and theism doesn't compare under the same metaphysical conditions, there is a theoretical possibility there is a god, unlike science which we know isn't true.

For instance, photons work as matter to describe gravity's affect on light, but as a waves to describe the occurance of different colors. @SwordofSpirit1 I slowly saw my religious beliefs fade...There is no doubt, I would love to see my family after I died but I will not live my life believing in a stone age religion that has as much credibility as any science fiction novel. It is a sad quite frankly...My parents went insane, I lost several friends because I rejected a belief that was superstitious at best. I would greatly appreciate evidence for the validity of the bible.

I became interested in the history of the Bible and began to question my long held beliefs. I had some questions such as "How can my knowledge of science so strongly disagree with my religious beliefs", "Why would an omnipotent, omnibenevolent, omniscient God allow such tragedies in the world..."
