see thats the thing i dont hear the jazz to this. but i also think that if your going to mix anything with metal you need to step your playing up a knot. ex. if your playing jazz metal take the jazz scales and basic concepts and the methodical guitar and drumming mix it all together and it sounds was more passionate than this ( not including webbe). trust me, my buddy majored in jazz drum and we threw some shit together during a jam sesh and even that sounded better than these guys without webbe

as great as they were i feel that the only one that shines here is mr webbe. all of the music is soo simplistic and impersonal but hes got that passion that brings it back to greatness. but skindred definitely completed the circle encompassing all the greatness of reggae n metal. all in all both great bands
