I also enjoyed Plok a lot. Don't let you be fooled by the kiddy appearance, the game is quite hard to beat. I found the gameplay very interesting and original: your character shoots with his limbs which off course has its effect on your walking. Wonderful graphics !

Super Metroid was indeed the greatest game ever. On SNES but maybe even on every console. Very long gameplay, great power ups, a lot of backtracking, great monsters, wonderful soundtrack. Just perfect in every way.

Oh my, there were a couple good titles in there, like Zelda, TMNT IV and Super Punch out, but the rest were just the most common titles for the SNES and quite a few were 1st and 2nd year releases (pilot wings?? please, that game was not that good at all). God, Chrono Trigger, probly one of the greatest games ever created for the system, very unique game. Also I agree with other posters, no RPGs at all? The SNES was KNOWN for groundbreaking RPGs during its span, it almost (almost) defines SNES

@linknaarea Nope, I agree that Super Metroid should be #1. The game had incredible graphics, sound, level design, bosses and best of all sequence breaking. This game has more replayability than most games out there, highly recieved by the speed running community and still strong today.

Yes, A Link to the Past was an absolute corker of a game but it just falls short in comparason to the amount of freedom and customisation that Super Metroid offered.

I'm sorry to say but even with all the incredible graphics available today, my favorite system will always be SNES. Final Fantasy 2&3, Metroid, Act Raiser, Chrono Trigger, Romance of the 3 kingdoms 2, Killer Instinct, Zelda LTTP and Secret of Mana are just the tip of the ice burg of some of the incredible games with awesome story lines. Nowadays it's all about how realistic it can look and no real plot.... IMO.
