....although Tracy Ferrie is a good bass player..,i still like the original bass player tim gaines to be in the band now that they're back as a stryper band, and not only on these tours...

I enjoyed the H*** out of watching these boyz do what they dol! Definitely worth the second ride back from the hotel. Check out hubby's band Lickity Split - Artist of the month on their label. We had a blast!
Guys and gals, I have listened to other bands from Rocklahoma and I can tell you one thing for sure. Stryper is way out of everyone else's league in terms of their sound. I think they sound even better than the 80's.
Robert is back! Love to see him play them drums like he stole'em!
There are a ton of haters out there because of the message and they need to get over it and just accept that Stryper rocks and just rock to it. If the message aint for you, big deal.
70,000-80,000 is a bit of a stretch...by lets say 75,000...lol. None of the bands played in front of more than 5000. They represented well even though they were not at their best. I'm always down for good quality musicianship.

I'll give you they can play but personally I don;t care for them at all . Songs are just to bland . Maybe it's bringing the gospel into metal . Doesn't work for me . Much prefer Lizzy Borden or Kix . Great musicans that have good tunes . JMHO
You don't care for them maybe because of the message? Being a Christian in a secular world is never easy but Stryper did it because God told them to. Jesus had the same problem and in the end they crucified him for it but Praise God death did not have a hold on Him.
Personally I didnt care much for their performance. It was almost like they didnt want to be there. I have seen them 3 times and this was by far their worst performance. But I will also say that they sounded the best out of all the bands, Micheal hasnt lost a thing and can still hit the high notes unlike most of the other bands playing over the four days.
You're def. wrong! They did want to be there, and they were honored to play such a secular event and be able to present their songs which point people to Christ! And this is by far not one of their worst. Their video "Burning Flame: Live in Japan 1989" is their worst performance ever! (the video has been uploaded by each song on here) - I really hate to say it, but the vocals sounded off, the audience was unresponsive, and the bass was too loud. - any other performance has been awesome :)
Because you disagree with me I'm wrong? How can my personal opinion be wrong? I said I felt like they didnt want to be there. The performance lacked the passion like the other times I have seen them. I love Stryper but this was the most least emotional show I have seen of them. And I didnt say this was their worst ever show, just the worst that I have seen personally.
The main problem Stryper had at this show was that they hadn't played in a while prior to it. They were extremely rusty and in interviews Michael said that because of the lack of rehersing and the humidity it was a tough performance. They always want to play, they never lack passion.
Been waiting to c a Stryper clip. Thay sound tight and look better then any band i have seen festival footage of. If u have more vids from their show it would be great to post. Thanks for taking the time.

Just saw Stryper in Toronto at a small venue and they kicked serious ass. They may be God Rock but they put most old bands to shame.

Ouch. I suppose the 70-80 people who stuck around to see them perform didn't mind Michael Sweet's frequently flat vocals.
