@sergiii my problem exactly. even more when you're in a foreign country in roaming, and you pay 2 eur per mb of data which is really not difficult to achieve.
It is only working when wifi is turned on. If I enable mobile data my phone connects to internet immediatly and I'll pay. It should work without internet.
@sergiii well that sucks... i couldn't imagine not having mobile data... my buddy had verizon and for the longest he didn't have the data package on a smart phone because of the cost.... so i would just turn my phone into a hotspot! lol
@end3rkid it is awesome! unlike Lookout, it isn't constantly running 24/7! It won't drain your battery any faster that your phone would without it! :-)
@end3rkid it can if you're running 2.3.3 or lower, there is a CHANCE that it still can, but it's not promised! i just keep mine on. because my job involves helping people recover lost phones, & if the gps fails, the first thing I ask them is if they turned gps off. If they did, it's my responsibility to inform the customer that the phone can NO LONGER be located, because the USER decided to disable gps, making it only possible for 911 to locate you...
@wwjoshdew I0m running CM7.1, which has 2.3.7 on it, so maybe will not work for me after all :(. I hope don't mind you to tell me why it can't be done on 2.3.4 or higher versions of gingerbread. I was thinking about just sending to the service of SeekDroid a command to turn on the GPS (since the phone is rooted, the program should not have problem dealing whit that I suppose), or what I'm saying is not doable?
@end3rkid i have no clue... if you're crazy smart, it might be possible. but I turn my gps off... since if someone steals your phone or if someone terrible happens (like your kid had your phone, and your kid has been kidnapped) there is no way of tracking that phone unless someone physically dials 911 from it, which activates the handsets gps... otherwise you have to use cell towers to locate the person, which is NOT accurate and can be a HUGE area... so i just leave GPS on to be safe! :-)

Hey Josh I no this is off topic but maybe you can help me out, I sure u know how many dual core android phones don't take full advantage of the second processor. I have an evo3D and been trying to get find a way to make the second processor more active and make my phone run faster...
@GMYG007 i don't know how. you would have to find a kernel that supports that. i KNOW CyanogenMod will once they get it out of Alpha! lol. I love that rom!
@sealmerc DUDE, I don't think you're understanding me. that's not what i'm saying... i'm saying I have install CM7 enough times to know that I HAVE to flash the google addons. but my phone fc's on the market UNLESS i use an older version... Please reread my other reply to you. Here's a copy/paste, "i have flashed Cyanogen a LOT of times, so I know that. it's there, but it FC's every time. oh well."
@sealmerc ok, you're fine. it's just screwy. it could be the phone if yours works fine. but yeah, it's laggy and kinda sucks... i never really used the stock 1.5 rom.
@sealmerc in rom manager premium you get to pick the rom you want... and i tried all of them and CM7 was the best, IMHO.... it's a slow phone in the first place! lol
@HeyWOr1d until they get the audio drivers working (for GrooVeIP to work), 4G, and wifi tether... the stock rom with crap removed. I link to it in my other evo3d video
