This movie gives the books no credit, the fact they just put the last two books into the mixer and changed half of what happens is a sham.... In-particular all the incidents surrounding the prince.

If I was to make a recommendation to anyone is to read the books first before it is ruined for you.

I'm not bashing on the movie. I liked it well enough. It's just not really up to Ghibli par in my opinion. They really could have expanded on it more so it's not just like "Hey, remember this thing that's not really relevant to the story at all until now? Well, here's why we included it!".

That's my only qualm with the movie.

I love the fact that they put one of the most climactic moments of the movie IN THE TRAILER. -_-

That coupled with the fact that it was a climactic moment that had everything to do with a piece of mythology that was only referenced once at the very beginning and then nobody says anything about it after that makes me sad.

i personally found this movie to be quite good actually, one of my favorites by studio ghibli. the plots a little confusing but i overall got the main point of it. the english voice acting could've been better but nothings perfect. overall stood out to me more than the other ghibli films. good start for goro miyazaki :) in his newest film u can tell that he definetely takes after his father lol

@geemi006 It's based on a book series so that might be the reason why you think it makes no sense. We all have different thoughts about what we like and what we hate. You might find the story lame, but I like it and I also find the art very nice. I don't think I need to watch it again, because I've already seen it around three times.

@TheNewAtlanta actually, Hayao Miyzaki made Mononoke, while this one was made by his son, Goro Miyzaki. The studio that produced the movie has very little to do with the movie itself, besides distributing it to the public and working alongside the artist/creator

If you are looking for more anime movies easiest way is go to google type in list of anime movies.... Find the one you want to watch. Go to you-tube site and put......the title of the movie then (part 1) if you do this you will be able to watch most of the anime movies on there. Although you may have to read english subtitles. Most anime are done in japanese. Just to for-warn you, you will have to stop and find the next part of the movie once part 1 is over & so on. Hope i could help anyone out.

Guys....this is just a remake of the Japanese version. This movie was out in Japan 0ver 3 years. Disney is just re-doing the voice acting....they are just re-publishing it in america and in English instead of Japanese. Because some people don't know how to find good Anime movies on their own.
