Wow, Michigan fans, stop trying to defend them here in this game. And don't even bother defending the Rich Rod years. They weren't even competitive within their conference during those years. Just stop. Mississippi State won by a lot and were clearly the better team during this game. Hands down. But Michigan in any non-RR year? That's a different story. Mississippi State would have had a challenge and a loss on their hands.
we scored 54 to 14 we won how could u brag about michigan if theres nothing to brag about except a few mistakes that we made. somebody enlighten me why their doing this!!!!!
@encycl07pedia (3-9) (5-7) (7-5) all under rich Rodriguez his offense did not fit Michigan and therefore Michigan suffered because of it and the defense suffered as well the worst defenses in Michigan history Brady hoke he was a former assistant coach at Michigan and he understands the tradition and culture of Michigan especially the Michigan and Ohio st game rich Rodriguez did not Like the words of the late great Bo Shembechler "It takes a Michigan man to coach at Michigan."
Man we're a long way from this. Thank GOD for Hoke, and I would love to play MSU right now, just to show them we're much superior. I know they have both taken different paths, but Michigan is much improved, because they now have a real coach.
@1997goblue Mississippi State plays in the SEC, kid. Michigan wouldn't get a touchdown in this conference. I bet MSU would still stomp the shit out of you jokers.
Wow! Congrats to the editor of this video for attempting to make Michigan seem remotely in the same class as MSU. You seem to have been in a hurry to cut to the final score to avoid the humiliation! You get the Joseph Goebbels award in failed propaganda techniques. Congrats!
Mississippi State was ranked #21 (I think) when this game took place, so I don't really understand the comments putting down Michigan for losing this game... Hey, don't get me wrong! I LOVE MISSISSIPPI STATE!!! My Football coach (and a great mentor) played for them back in the early 80s. MSU is my team in College Football, even when they average 3 wins a season!!! And, the SEC is definitely the toughest conference to play in! But, being from Michigan, I still love my Wolverines too -GO WINGS!
you are not naturally better at football because you were born in a certain region...FACT. All-time winningest program in college football is michigan. the nfl top 100 included 1 SEC (peyton) to 9 players from northern schools (number 1 being tom brady from michigan)
@Get2zchoppa123 Your list is only for 2011. Here's a more telling list for you: Brett Favre - from Mississippi Jerry Rice - from Mississippi Walter Payton - from Mississippi Peyton Manning - from Louisiana Emmitt Smith - from Florida Marshall Faulk - from Louisiana Reggie White -from Tennessee Deion Sanders - from Florida Ray Lewis - from Florida One could argue that each of the players on this list are undoubtedly some of the best to ever play their respective positions.
i shouldve been more clear, i was arguing more towards conference representation. basically, history shows that the SEC isn't as dominant in quality nfl talent as some people think. jerry rice, walter p, favre, ray lewis, deion, etc. did not play in the SEC, and went to small,lesser-known schools. gayle sayers, eddie george, jack tatum, dick butkus, floyd little and more are from the northern states.
Michigan and Mississippi state both suck, MSU is the best college team, they may be ranked as underdogs but watch us destroy the competition this year.
When Mullen took the job at MSU, the SEC ellitists said that he "wouldn't get any Percy Harvins to play at MSU" and that's why he likely wouldn't succeed. Watching Ladarious Perkins the last few gamesof 2010 blow by defenders with 4.3 speed leads me to believe that Mullen can get some explosive players to Starkville needed for his offense. Mullen's decision to come to Starkville appears to be an epic win.
SEC dominates....7 out of 12 Teams (ALA, ARK, MSU, LSU, UGA, FLA, and S.CAR) are gonna be good next year while the Big 10 will probably have Nebraska and Wisconsin. Basketball well its gonna be UK and FLA.
why when people get their asses handed to them, they bring up the past like "look what MSU has done in the past decade blah blah blah" that was then....
As a bama fan, this state team could easily be the spoiler for a NC run for bama if they aren't prepared and ready. this team is on the up and up, has most of their personel returning this fall and should not be underestimated. It would be wise for Bama, LSU, and Arky to be prepared or be embarrissed. State will hand Auburn its butt this fall I have no doubt.
@Orchardlanes300 MSU reminds me of Ole Miss from 3 years ago. 'Bama has too much firepower, and WILL win the BCS Title this year, and MSU is going to cream AU, just like 6-7 more teams, but they can't hang with the Tide.....sorry!
Here's the reason: Lots of factories have closed in the Rust Belt over time, and the people that live there? They want and need work, so they moved to the Sun Belt (and the south.) Atlanta, Charlotte, ALL of Florida, Memphis, heck, even Jackson and Hattiesburg Ms are booming. And when your population is depleted, so is your talent pool. Hence the rise of the SEC. They always had one or two or three good teams, now they are all evening out. Simple economics and geography...
The SEC dominates in football, and numerous other sports. (Basketball,Baseball,Softball, etc.) The teams up north, such as teams in the Big Ten, are pretty great too. But, you see, If you are to look at their rosters(the teams in the Big Ten) ,several of their players are from where? The South. It's just a natural fact of life. People from down here are better at football.
@The1Philly4 since when has the sec been better at basketball than the big east and big ten yall can have football cuz al yu kuntry folk do is eat grits n have a good ol time lol n DOWN SOUTH AINT NOTHIN @ THE NORTH!!!
@321ian hahaha, if thats really what you think then you obviously know nothing about college in the SEC. but look at the bright side... your right about the sports down here though
@The1Philly4 thats because you can play year round and you have a spring and a fall season, but when it comes to basketball teams in the north are better like the big ten big east and the acc, also the north used to be better at football because football used to be about power not speed
I tell you what the SEC west is going to be scary good,With Alabama,Miss St,LSU,Arkansas,And Auburn,But Auburn only has 6 returning starters and thats gonna hurt then trmendously, while Ole Miss is still in the rough!
miss st defense is off the chain though. michigan avg over 30 pts a game and they didn't score after the 1st qtr lol, and a bad mich defense made a conservative miss st offense look unstoppable.
@MrAUFANATIC As a Michigan fan I can agree that we had a bad defense, but the old coach who never preached defense is gone now, and we have Mr. Hoke, so we'll get back to our winning ways. I am glad Richrod is gone, but he'll bounce back. He just didn't fit in with Michigan's style of play. That team will be fine, but they needed a change.
@Commandoj251 I'm impressed so far..but if you remember, we won 8 in 07 and then won only 3 in 08..... but that was with an absolutely nonexistent offense..... Dan Mullen has done great so far..and i am pleased....i'm gonna have to give him about 3-4 more years to really see what he can do....the bad thing is, most State fans will be expecting 9 or 10 wins every year now, and that's REALLY hard to do in Starville. I'd be content with 7 this year and a bowl win to make it 8.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM haha xD yeah yeah just because SEC is beast this is what we get rofl, talkin about AU on Miss. State vs Michigan page. I gurantee MIss State didnt have that and they whooped michigan's ass lmao
@extremegunn94 "I gurantee MIss State didnt have that and they whooped michigan's ass"
Miss State is guilty of paying players quid pro quo to attend their university and play football in their program. It doesn't get any dirtier than that. Michigan basketball was found guilty of this and their entire program was destroyed and they are still feeling the ramifications of that to this day. The same thing happened to USC's football program recently. MIss State is a dirty program bar none.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM Mississippi State paying players? Miss State a dirty program? Give me a fuckin' break, you butthurt dolt. Go to Scout and compare recruiting classes/stars between MSU and UMich for the last several years and then come back and tell me who's paying blue-chips to play for who. I can guarantee you that Umich's classes are ranked significantly higher than MSU's. The fact here is MSU just flat out out-coached and out-played Michingan.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM When? Again, look at recruiting class rankings and compare the two schools. If Miss State was ever higher than UMich, I'll fuckin' cut my own nuts off with a spork. Don't prance around youtube throwing out ignorant accusations before looking at your once has-been university.
@TheBunkis "Don't prance around youtube throwing out ignorant accusations"
Was or was not Mississippi State found guilty of paying players to attend their university? ANSWER THE QUESTION!
"your once has-been university"
My has-been university is the best public university in the nation. What has Miss St done recently? Nothing. You won a football game and you cheat. Nice perspective you have in your hick state of Mississippi. Go make moonshine and leave the thinking to us.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM Don't act like UMich has never suffered similar sanctions. Hell, just last year and the year before they were found guilty of major secondary violations, you dolt. Yes, your has-been university whos pretentious garbage has been brought down a notch or two.Again, don't act like you know what goes on elsewhere when rocks are being thrown inside your own glass house.
@TheBunkis "Hell, just last year and the year before they were found guilty of major secondary violations, you dolt."
That's patently false! Michigan was found guilty of exceeding allotted practice time for 5 minutes over the course of 2 weeks. Michigan has NEVER been found guilty, nay accused, of violating NCAA rules in the 200 year history of the program before this. The error occurred due to miscommunication between the head coach and the staff who are now all FIRED. You're an imbecile.
@TheBunkis "Maybe you guys should start cheating then"
Unfortunately, this is what the game has come down to. It's a circus and yes, Michigan sucks at football right now and will probably get better with Brady Hoke and win some Big Ten Championships however, without breaking NCAA regulations, I honestly don't think Michigan will ever be National Championship contenders.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM when was msu accused of paying players? i hope you're not referring to the kevin fant "tiregate scandal".. bottom line is you had one of the "best" quarterbacks in the nation and we made him look like a juco scrub.. we played in the gator bowl because we got screwed out of the peach bowl and what's the result? we beat your sorry asses by more than thirty points, setting the overall scoring record by ourselves..
@grantdawg07 "when was msu accused of paying players?"
I've already explained why I think they are a dirty program. Stop being unresourceful.
"bottom line is you had one of the 'best' quarterbacks in the nation and we made him look like a juco scrub."
27-41 passing for 251 yards and 2 touchdowns with 59 yards rushing on 11 attempts (5.4 yrds/car)... that's not a juco scrub. Michigan's defense sucks and the offense was put in terrible field position all day. Don't get it twisted.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM ok look here morbidly obese justin bieber.. the fact that state got into trouble during the sherril era is completely irrelevant.. maybe if some of those players were on this team but newsflash dumbass sherril has been gone for over ten years. if dan mullen was a dirty coach he would've been caught at bowling green, utah, or florida. go back and check the stats for programs he's worked at as far as wins since his hiring. RIP big ten, send your cheerleaders next time.
@grantdawg07 "the fact that state got into trouble during the sherril era is completely irrelevant."
God... you really are as dumb as a brick. I never even mentioned that. You're an illogical fuck who uses strawman arguments to achieve some false sense of superiority. You're arguing with yourself at this point. What an absolute disgrace..
"if dan mullen was a dirty coach he would've been caught at bowling green, utah, or florida"
Florida is one of the dirtiest programs in the NCAA... wow.
@grantdawg07 "go back and check the stats for programs he's worked at as far as wins since his hiring."
What would that prove? Go back and check Einstein's findings from his double-slit experiment. It showed that light has wave properties due to the fact that when shown through two small slits, a resulting diffraction pattern can be observed. Yeah... it holds the same logical relevance as your win/loss statistics.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM that's pretty funny....the double slit experiment was Thomas Young's, not Einstein's...almost 100 yrs before Einstein got into the dualistic nature of light debate. Even an old Dawg knows that.
@sseeplane Yeah... i must have been really tired when i wrote that. Like you said, the experiment is hundreds of years old so I really don't see how your age is relevant but w/e. Thanks for the correct despite the fact that it's quite irrelevant to the point I was trying to make.
@grantdawg07 "ok look here morbidly obese justin bieber"
Oh NOOO! Don't make fun of my outward appearance as if it held relevant information to our discussion!.... I just can't handle the emotional distress it would cause... You really are a douche bag.
"Newsflash dumbass sherril has been gone for over ten years"
As if I even mentioned this as an argument... Seriously? grantdawg07 is now officially the biggest idiot on youtube. Don't you think you've disgraced yourself enough?
@ThoseWhoStayUofM Dude, everybody pays their players sometime. Besides, those players from the Sherrill era are long gone. You weren't playing against any mercinaries here, pal. Just better athletes from a better team.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM You fucking idiot. Cam newton's father thried to get us to pay his sonto come play here. We never tried to pay him and reported it to the SEC. That's a fact take it or leave it.
"Cam newton's father thried to get us to pay his sonto come play here."
Nice sentence...
Cam Newton's father, Cecil, had every inclination to assume Mississippi would follow through on the quid pro quo however when Cam Newton committed to Auburn, Bill Bell - Miss St booster and receiver of the Cecil texts, turned him in. The whistle blowing occured AFTER THE FACT! Essecially, if Miss St couldn't have Cam Newton, then nobody can (at least the Bulldogs hoped). You're program is DIRT!!!
@ThoseWhoStayUofM First of all, don't try to criticize my grammar or typos. This isn't a comp. class. And boosterclub reported cecil newton to the sec right after he tried to solicit money. This was way before the football season and newton's commitment to auburn. It wasn't a smear campaign so get you facts straight. It only went public after the season began. And why the hell am i even arguing this anyway? Our team beat the shit out of yours and you're clearly a sore loser.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM HAHAHAHA.....I personally know John Bond and I know FOR A FACT that Cam was turned down before Christmas 2009. I know for a FACT that it was reported right after Christmas break. So, letting your theory run through your small brain does not make it so. Mullen wants a clean program and that's that. We have lived nearly 10 years with the NCAA crap that Sherrell brought. I would rather have a 8-4 season and know it was clean than a NC.....
@MrsGillT1 "I personally know John Bond and I know FOR A FACT that Cam was turned down before Christmas 2009"
I know FOR A FACT that John Bond merely reported the messages to Greg Byrne, the athletic director, and let him handle the situation. John Bond knew illegal activity was happening and didn't report ANY OF IT to the NCAA. Secondly, you don't know ANYTHING for a fact because you heard your information from JOHN BOND who has incentive to LIE to cover MIss St's tracks.... moron.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM I guess Mark Emmert called you personally with this information? Or did you hear it while drinking cool-aid? I will say you know no one of interest in the matter so drink on....your team got their ass kicked without MSU paying players. I would even venture to say that the University of Mississippi would have beat Michigan. Reply all you want.....ignorance can't be cured and I am through trying.
@MrsGillT1 "I guess Mark Emmert called you personally with this information?"
It's public information.
"Or did you hear it while drinking cool-aid"
You're an imbecile.
"ignorance can't be cured"
You're absolutely moronic. Of course ignorance can be cured. Uneducation can be cured with education... dumb ass. You don't even know what the words that you are using mean. It's like you are five years old, trying to sound intelligent by using big words you heard your parents say or on the news.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM Damnit, dude. The fuckin' bowl game/games is/are over for the '10-'11 season. Your team got it's ass whipped by a bunch of uneducated rednecks from Mississippi. So the fuck what. The world keeps spinning. We get it dude. Again, it's over. Go worry about the future of Michigan. Please.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM If State would have paid Cameron Newton's father....Mississippi State wouldn't have been playing this down and out Michigan team in this Bowl...They would have been in a BCS bowl and possibly even the BCS National Championship game......Who exactly are they paying?? Mullen is beating teams with recruits that no one else would have for the most part...a bunch of 3 star and 2 star recruits with a 4 star thrown in there every now and then...Is he paying the bottomfeeders?
@Linester25 "If State would have paid Cameron Newton's father... Mississippi State wouldn'tahve been playing"
Yes they would have. I'm fully confident that Mississippi State would have paid Cam Newton the money had Cam Newton not rejected them regardless of the quid pro quo and gone to Auburn. Don't you get it. Miss St had the text messages from Cecil MONTHS before ever reporting them to the NCAA. If Miss St was considering the offer and Cam Newton blew them off.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM Wows...I can't believe I didn't respond a month ago...The NCAA didn't get those tapes because Mississippi State gave them to the SEC, who in turn were responsible for giving them to the NCAA....which the SEC didn't do for months, just hoping that nothing would ever come of the situation.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM oh and speaking of ignorant... moonshine? that's the best you could come up with really.. if i come across any i'll send some up for you guys to help ease that soreness from gettin buttraped in the gator bowl.. why are you even looking at this video? it's HIGHLIGHTS from the gator bowl.. the only highlight for the wolverines was getting to leave the field....
@ThoseWhoStayUofM You think Mississippi State hasn't felt any ramifications for what Sherill did?? Look at the last decade of football and get back at me...
I submit to this forum that every team that has won a National Championship over the past ten years is a dirty program. There is no such thing as "winning the right way" anymore.
@extremegunn94 Offering Cam Newton $100,000+ to play there makes you a dirty program. When one player is found guilty of accepting money, then many players are likely to have taken money who haven't been caught. Generally speaking, if a university finds no issue with paying one player to attend their university, they will attempt the same thing for many players. The main issue is that the SEC conference approaches violations as a defense lawyer rather than a prosecutor.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM If you can't beat them on the field....just try to slander their names all the while making yourself look like a raving lunatic.....I guess if Michigan would have tore Mississippi State a new one that I might be looking for reasons to justify my weak conference....get a life and quit crying...
Academicly, SEC schools can't hold a candle to the Big 10. The difference is that the Big 10 isn't a "dirty" conference like the SEC. Being a clean football program and a successful recruiting program seam to be mutually exclusive concepts. Way to go SEC.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM you might want to review the cirricula at some of the schools of the SEC before you make such an ill-informed statement. Google where the first heart transplant was performed. Do a little research into aerospace laboratories at the college level. And they say people in the south are uneducated.....HA
@sseeplane "you might want to review the cirricula at some of the schools of the SEC before you make such an ill-informed statement."
Ok... you're retarded. According to U.S.News National University Rankings, Northwestern, Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Illinois (In that order) all rank higher than the first school from the SEC to appear on the list (Florida). Why would you simply assume I didn't do my research? All major universities offer roughly the same curriculum by the way.
@sseeplane The facts suggest otherwise.Anecdotes, which you use in this statement, aren't facts in this context and do not support that the big ten is,overall, academically inferior.YCedit is deserved in fball. College football is to the south what hockey is to the north.it's your best sport because the south cares about it the most and its played year round down there. No one can dispute that right now.Congrats on the drubbing. Its where the bulk of the talent is for football after all.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM LOL stfu, if that was so, NCAA would be all over their ass, what an idiot. clean football program? Look here smart ass in the SEC it starts with traidition of winning way back in 1960's+ when you have teams that win bowls over and over you have a higher chance of recruiting Mississippi, Florida, and Texas have the best High schools in the U.S. for football well? SEC winning teams get recruiting and the tradition of winning continues. Jeez ur smart. Rofl ''dirty'' conference
@extremegunn94 Florida has had 30 arrests over Urban Meyer's 5 year long tenure as head coach. During that time, Florida has won 2 national championships when, prior to Urban Meyer, they had one National Championship in the entire history of the program. I argue that this isn't coincidence. The fact is, the SEC doesn't have a winning tradition. Alabama has a history of winning, not the SEC. Outside of Alabama, the SEC has had zero National Championships from 1960-1995.
@ThoseWhoStayUofM Rofl you completely got nothing out of what i said. You took winning and tradition in two opposite directions~ 30 arrest during the reign of Meyer, point being what? 6 arrest every 5 years. Skip, skip~~ SEC is and always will be dominate over vast majority of other conferences and it starts way before Alabama started racking it up...
@Dragonsfire92 its funny cause the first game i went to i turned 15 back in 2008,,,it was TN vs miss st.,,,,eric berry my favorite player picked off 2 int for a touchdown in the hole stadium went yellling ERIC BERRY,,,,best birthday ever
Michigan sucks and they have for a very long time. They are some of the most arrogant fans in college football and finally they got so humiliated on national TV. The big ten is week over all and only their top teams are average on nationwide scale.
Michigan can kiss their asses goodbye, who would go there. the place is a shit hole, the hole state is dieing. They have 1 national championship since 1946, they suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@95LSUBOY I know. I'm a State fan. I was just making a general statement that ole miss can go to hell. Next time I'll try not to confuse all the dumb ass LSU fans.
Michigan took an ass whooping in their bowl game, nothing less than a complete embarrassment. I guess we can pretty much write off the big ten as a legitimate force because they just suck BIG NOODLE!!! WHAT A JOKE!!!!! ND NOT LOOKING SO BAD ANYMORE, WOW!!!!!!
I was expecting holding Robinson in check. What I'm completely impressed with is Relf's steady improvement throughout the year. Dan Mullen has done a great job so far. He still has a lot to do, but he is relentless in his pursuit of perfection. I have faith that he will keep them on the right track. Recruit well and give em hell. Go Bulldogs!
@axelay523 Its too bad that Arkansas had to be a disappointment! State looked sharp. My Boys from Tuscaloosa looked like a #1 team, Florida pulled it off, and then Ohio State won the ONLY way they know how against good competition: bullshit luck
@benmahesh "Ohio State won the ONLY way they know how against good competition: bullshit luck"
You're crazy. I was rooting for Arkansas the entire game (naturally as I am a Michigan student) and OSU dominated from beginning to end. They were clearly the better team on that particular day.
yeah considering they let those THUGS play who should have been ineligible to play! The NCAA is screwed up. What kind of punishment is 5 games NEXT season? They may enter the draft and not get suspended! Arkansas is the better team period. Ohio State just acted on their vulnerabilities
Except they aren't at all... OSU beat them in every phase of the game.
"Ohio State just acted on their vulnerabilities"
Which is what makes them better than Arkansas. I mean, that's like saying Ohio State isn't better than Arkansas, they were just able to score more points.
@axelay523 yikes, atrocious grammar...you clearly just couldn't get into a higher caliber school the likes of those in the Big Ten. Additionally, the Big Ten was the shit 40 years ago, the South West was the shit 20ish years ago, then the PAC-10 and currently the SEC is...don't be surprised when they dissolve the SEC for a plethora of violations, or when they recede back to irrelevance...its only a matter of time
@maxwell8989 .......You make it sound as though the SEC just became great. Not so. 40 years ago (1971) the SEC was FAR better than the Big Ten. The Pac-Ten? When was it ever the best conference?
@axelay523 I would love to see just one SEC to play a Big Ten team up north in a cold environment. I guarantee the Big Ten team would destroy the SEC team. The SEC beats he Big Ten in bowl games because the bowl locations are in SEC territory
@beatthesuckeyes8 ...........Very few Big Ten games are played in a "cold environment". And why would you want that anyway? To nullify the SEC's speed advantage?
@beatthesuckeyes8 The fact The Big Ten has to use weather as an 'advantage' in order to win is just sad.So what your trying to tell us is that unless you have 'help' from the weather you can't play/win against an SEC team?
@beatthesuckeyes8 Why is that the SEC's fault? They have no control over where bowl games are played. Would the weather be a factor for an SEC team if they played in BIg Ten territory? Potentially yes, however, pointing to the climate is a bad excuse it does sound like sour grapes. But if you are keen to that argument than flip it. A Big Ten team would not be able to survive in the heat if they had to play in hot weather consistently. That argument is a two way street in this situation.
@xchargerOUx Did you see the score of the game?? I don't care if the game was played at Michigan's stadium, we still would have dominated. Our players and coaches were just flat out better.
@cdawgford1 You all had much better coaching, I'll give you that. Your defense actually knew what they were doing, as opposed to the problem we used to have when Rich Rodriguez was our coach, but since he's gone, and we have a guy who knows what he's doing, then we'll see what's what this year. Mich. is going to win 9-10 games, and we'll either win the Big 10, or be in a New Year's Day game vs. the SEC, more than likely and then people will see that this program is on the up and up!
@YB71KV If an SEC team had to play a Big Ten team in the middle of the season in a cold Big Ten city, they would have a very tough time. The Big Ten has to deal with the exact opposite of that during the bowl season. That is why it seems like the SEC is better than the Big Ten. Every SEC vs Big Ten bowl game is practically a home game for the SEC. The Capital One Bowl, Gator Bowl, and Outback Bowl are all Big Ten/SEC bowls played in SEC cities.
@beatthesuckeyes8 I guess the Big 10 teams need to work on getting more sec games up north then. The door swings both ways. The same would go for Big 10 teams coming into the sec in the middle of the season, when it's a 100 degrees and 90 percent humidity. They do play in late december, early january in bowl games. It's not september or october. Michigan has faired well against the sec in bowl games. Fans may not agree but players would prefer to play in warm, sunny climates. Not blizzards
Took big blue behind the woodshed and Whooped. That. Ass. "You Guys" up north still wanna run your mouth about the SEC? Actions speak louder than words my friends. HAIL STATE!
Mississippi State would have had a challenge and a loss on their hands.

i shouldve been more clear, i was arguing more towards conference representation. basically, history shows that the SEC isn't as dominant in quality nfl talent as some people think. jerry rice, walter p, favre, ray lewis, deion, etc. did not play in the SEC, and went to small,lesser-known schools. gayle sayers, eddie george, jack tatum, dick butkus, floyd little and more are from the northern states.

ThoseWhoStayUofM 1 year ago
@ThoseWhoStayUofM Mississippi State paying players? Miss State a dirty program? Give me a fuckin' break, you butthurt dolt. Go to Scout and compare recruiting classes/stars between MSU and UMich for the last several years and then come back and tell me who's paying blue-chips to play for who. I can guarantee you that Umich's classes are ranked significantly higher than MSU's. The fact here is MSU just flat out out-coached and out-played Michingan.

ThoseWhoStayUofM 1 year ago
@ThoseWhoStayUofM Don't act like UMich has never suffered similar sanctions. Hell, just last year and the year before they were found guilty of major secondary violations, you dolt. Yes, your has-been university whos pretentious garbage has been brought down a notch or two.Again, don't act like you know what goes on elsewhere when rocks are being thrown inside your own glass house.
TheBunkis 1 year ago
@TheBunkis "Hell, just last year and the year before they were found guilty of major secondary violations, you dolt."
That's patently false! Michigan was found guilty of exceeding allotted practice time for 5 minutes over the course of 2 weeks. Michigan has NEVER been found guilty, nay accused, of violating NCAA rules in the 200 year history of the program before this. The error occurred due to miscommunication between the head coach and the staff who are now all FIRED. You're an imbecile.
ThoseWhoStayUofM 1 year ago
@ThoseWhoStayUofM Maybe you guys should start cheating then, because y'all suck major hind-tit.
TheBunkis 1 year ago
@TheBunkis "Maybe you guys should start cheating then"
Unfortunately, this is what the game has come down to. I've already explained why I think they are a dirty program. Stop being unresourceful.

@grantdawg07 "go back and check the stats for programs he's worked at as far as wins since his hiring."
What would that prove? Go back and check Einstein's findings from his double-slit experiment. Yeah... it holds the same logical relevance as your win/loss statistics.

ThoseWhoStayUofM 1 year ago
@ThoseWhoStayUofM First of all, don't try to criticize my grammar or typos. This isn't a comp. class. And boosterclub reported cecil newton to the sec right after he tried to solicit money. @ThoseWhoStayUofM HAHAHAHA.....I personally know John Bond and I know FOR A FACT that Cam was turned down before Christmas 2009. I know for a FACT that it was reported right after Christmas break. Alabama - dirty program, Florida - DIRTY PROGRAM, LSU - dirty program, Texas - dirty program, USC - DIRTY PROGRAM, Ohio State - dirty program, Miami FL - DIRTY PROGRAM, Oklahoma - dirty program.
I emphasised the exceptionally dirty ones but they are all corrupt.
ThoseWhoStayUofM 1 year ago
@ThoseWhoStayUofM Q.Q miss. state no dirty program?... tell me young billy goat with your mouth so low, what makes a dirty program?
extremegunn94 1 year ago
@extremegunn94 Offering Cam Newton $100,000+ to play there makes you a dirty program. When one player is found guilty of accepting money, then many players are likely to have taken money who haven't been caught. Generally speaking, if a university finds no issue with paying one player to attend their university, they will attempt the same thing for many players. The main issue is that the SEC conference approaches violations as a defense lawyer rather than a prosecutor.
ThoseWhoStayUofM 1 year ago
@ThoseWhoStayUofM If you can't beat them on the field....just try to slander their names all the while making yourself look like a raving lunatic.....I guess if Michigan would have tore Mississippi State a new one that I might be looking for reasons to justify my weak conference....get a life and quit crying...

Academicly, SEC schools can't hold a candle to the Big 10. The difference is that the Big 10 isn't a "dirty" conference like the SEC. Being a clean football program and a successful recruiting program seam to be mutually exclusive concepts. Way to go SEC.
ThoseWhoStayUofM 1 year ago
@ThoseWhoStayUofM you might want to review the cirricula at some of the schools of the SEC before you make such an ill-informed statement. Google where the first heart transplant was performed. Do a little research into aerospace laboratories at the college level. And they say people in the south are uneducated.....HA
sseeplane 1 year ago
@sseeplane "you might want to review the cirricula at some of the schools of the SEC before you make such an ill-informed statement."
Ok... you're retarded. According to U.S.News National University Rankings, Northwestern, Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Illinois (In that order) all rank higher than the first school from the SEC to appear on the list (Florida). Why would you simply assume I didn't do my research? All major universities offer roughly the same curriculum by the way.
ThoseWhoStayUofM 1 year ago
@sseeplane I overlooked Vanderbilt in my last comment (note that Vanderbilt is the only clean school in the SEC and they are also the worst BY FAR.
The Big 10 vs SEC list is:
Northwestern, Vanderbilt (SEC), Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, Illinois, Florida (SEC), Ohio State, Purdue, Georgia (SEC), Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan State, Alabama (SEC), Auburn (SEC), Tennessee (SEC), South Carolina (SEC), LSU (SEC), Kentucky (SEC), Arkansas (SEC), Mississippi (SEC), Mississippi State (SEC),
ThoseWhoStayUofM 1 year ago
@sseeplane The facts suggest otherwise.Anecdotes, which you use in this statement, aren't facts in this context and do not support that the big ten is,overall, academically inferior.YCedit is deserved in fball. College football is to the south what hockey is to the north.it's your best sport because the south cares about it the most and its played year round down there. No one can dispute that right now.Congrats on the drubbing. Rofl ''dirty'' conference
extremegunn94 1 year ago
@extremegunn94 Florida has had 30 arrests over Urban Meyer's 5 year long tenure as head coach. During that time, Florida has won 2 national championships when, prior to Urban Meyer, they had one National Championship in the entire history of the program. I argue that this isn't coincidence. The fact is, the SEC doesn't have a winning tradition. Alabama has a history of winning, not the SEC. Outside of Alabama, the SEC has had zero National Championships from 1960-1995.
ThoseWhoStayUofM 1 year ago
@ThoseWhoStayUofM Rofl you completely got nothing out of what i said. You took winning and tradition in two opposite directions~ 30 arrest during the reign of Meyer, point being what? 6 arrest every 5 years. He still has a lot to do, but he is relentless in his pursuit of perfection. I have faith that he will keep them on the right track. Recruit well and give em hell. Go Bulldogs!

New Years Day was an ugly day in general for the Big 10 or should I say the Big Joke....SEC will always be the dominate football division.

@axelay523 i heard the Big 10 changed the names of their divsions to "Losers" and "Laughing Stock" following the results of NYD 2011....lol

@ThoseWhoStayUofM
yeah considering they let those THUGS play who should have been ineligible to play! The NCAA is screwed up. What kind of punishment is 5 games NEXT season? They may enter the draft and not get suspended! Arkansas is the better team period. Ohio State just acted on their vulnerabilities
dswindle07 1 year ago
@dswindle07 "Arkansas is the better team period."

Additionally, the Big Ten was the shit 40 years ago, the South West was the shit 20ish years ago, then the PAC-10 and currently the SEC is...don't be surprised when they dissolve the SEC for a plethora of violations, or when they recede back to irrelevance...its only a matter of time
maxwell8989 10 months ago
@maxwell8989 .......You make it sound as though the SEC just became great. Not so. 40 years ago (1971) the SEC was FAR better than the Big Ten. The Pac-Ten? When was it ever the best conference?
coolsouthernrain75 10 months ago
@axelay523 I would love to see just one SEC to play a Big Ten team up north in a cold environment. I guarantee the Big Ten team would destroy the SEC team. The SEC beats he Big Ten in bowl games because the bowl locations are in SEC territory
beatthesuckeyes8 10 months ago
@beatthesuckeyes8 ...........Very few Big Ten games are played in a "cold environment". And why would you want that anyway? To nullify the SEC's speed advantage?
coolsouthernrain75 10 months ago
@beatthesuckeyes8 The fact The Big Ten has to use weather as an 'advantage' in order to win is just sad.So what your trying to tell us is that unless you have 'help' from the weather you can't play/win against an SEC team?
rtds9fan 9 months ago
@beatthesuckeyes8 Why is that the SEC's fault? They have no control over where bowl games are played. Would the weather be a factor for an SEC team if they played in BIg Ten territory? Potentially yes, however, pointing to the climate is a bad excuse it does sound like sour grapes. But if you are keen to that argument than flip it. A Big Ten team would not be able to survive in the heat if they had to play in hot weather consistently. That argument is a two way street in this situation.

@YB71KV - The SEC doesn't have good track record beyond west of the mississippi. So..
xchargerOUx 9 months ago
@xchargerOUx Did you see the score of the game?? I don't care if the game was played at Michigan's stadium, we still would have dominated. Our players and coaches were just flat out better.
cdawgford1 8 months ago
@cdawgford1 You all had much better coaching, I'll give you that. Your defense actually knew what they were doing, as opposed to the problem we used to have when Rich Rodriguez was our coach, but since he's gone, and we have a guy who knows what he's doing, then we'll see what's what this year. Mich. is going to win 9-10 games, and we'll either win the Big 10, or be in a New Year's Day game vs. the SEC, more than likely and then people will see that this program is on the up and up!
jejesdad 7 months ago
@YB71KV If an SEC team had to play a Big Ten team in the middle of the season in a cold Big Ten city, they would have a very tough time. The Big Ten has to deal with the exact opposite of that during the bowl season. That is why it seems like the SEC is better than the Big Ten. Every SEC vs Big Ten bowl game is practically a home game for the SEC. The Capital One Bowl, Gator Bowl, and Outback Bowl are all Big Ten/SEC bowls played in SEC cities.
beatthesuckeyes8 9 months ago
@beatthesuckeyes8 I guess the Big 10 teams need to work on getting more sec games up north then. The door swings both ways. The same would go for Big 10 teams coming into the sec in the middle of the season, when it's a 100 degrees and 90 percent humidity. They do play in late december, early january in bowl games. It's not september or october. Michigan has faired well against the sec in bowl games. Fans may not agree but players would prefer to play in warm, sunny climates. Not blizzards
