Alexander Markov -- unequalled master of Paganini Caprices. Stupendous passages on the G-string at 1:18-2:00, especially, the staccato at 1:38-1:40. Bravissimo!
well it seems clear who i call moron....if you were at least an amateur string player you wouldn`t point such sensless mistakes..because to be a professional musician takes more than pointing mistakes...please try to open your ears and go pratice before doing useless commentaries...it takes more than respect someone that you listen, too...i agree my comment was maybe to agressive..I apologize..it takes more than an ear to listen to music. that`s respect. so long.
I know it would never happen, but Steve Vai is into Paganini and I think it would sound awesome if Markov or another violinist played a Paganini piece with him on distorted guitar. That would be cool. Maybe caprice 24?
i find him a bit ... how can I say ... soft! Listen to Sonig Tchakerian's interpretation (Arts CD), she's so strong and impressive but at the same time elegant and sweet! she's great!!!
like a viola

This is how Paganini should be played ... not those academical, anemic performances ...

This IS Paganini !.........Reincarnation is indeed a fact of life, and if there's any violinist today who used to be Paganini, it's Markov.
