  • I heard that these guys were at the Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake and they put on a great show!

  • Buffalo Springfield was one great group. Most of you know that there were so many changes within all of the groups back in the day that you had to keep notes on a chalk board keeping the chalk eraser at the ready. Poco and this song particularly was one of my all time favorite songs. I am 62 and heard this at the place that I work and thought...shit....that's all.

  • yes and all those years rusty didn't sing, he was hiding something, and george still had it

  • Brings back many memories. They are brilliant! I am 53 yo and remember this song had and still has alot of meaning.for me

  • I haven't been keeping up my channel since YouTube (via the big record companies) deleted most of them but thanks for all the nice replies.

I wonder if you folks know that YouTube vids are downloadable. Since I can't post a link you'll have to google the term "youtube downloader". It's free and it converts the flv files to avi. I usually use a third party software (magic video converter) to change the avi files to mpeg. Check it out.

  • In this performance, Rusty Young is the bel canto voice of soft rock; just lovely. Everything about the performance works beautifully. Thank you.

  • This is one of my favorite songs ever. There is just something about it that puts feelings into words better than words alone.

  • Rusty Young and Timothy B Scmidt's voices are very, very similar.

  • I defy any of today's artists to come up with a song this catchy. This song is melodic perfection.

  • They still sound great :)

  • blending,,,,great!! thumbs up!!

  • i saw them way back in 1989/1990 at Ontario Place Canada... that was the best I have ever heard any music performed in my life

  • This is and has always been my favorite band. Their vocals, guitar work and song writing still make my day that much better.

  • Rock on!!!

  • Great song . Wonderful vocals and harmonies .

  • Awesome!

  • Yes I am listening to this in 2011

No I'm not going to press any number on my keyboard

No I'm not going to thumbs up your comment

    No I don't care what's wrong with 189 people

No I don't care about you 'raping' a button

No I was not sent here by someone else

Music is there to be listened and appreciated, unfortunately there are people out there who just don't see that. The music industry is becoming more about marketing and less about musical quality. Oh how I appreciate this

  • freaky

  • i really love this song...

  • Great band, a comfort to my ears over the years.

  • Awsome dude! Good singin. Memories! Girls! Need I say More?

  • gives me the chills,,,,every time....it happens all the time....oooooo crazy love.....tnite im gonna break away

  • My first Hear of this song Its make me Cry ....xD

  • during my teen years..at night time..rjfm here in manila played this kind of music..ill always rem my cassete tape..POCO..LEGACY

  • Founding members were Richie Furay, Jim Messina and Rusty Young. They came from the ashes of Buffalo Springfield and brought in George Grantham on drums and Randy Meisner on bass. Rusty sings lead on this video, George sings harmony on Rusty's left. They are the only 'original' members of the band on this video. Jim left to form Loggins & Messina. Richie became a minister. Randy became a founding member of the Eagles.

  • @mdc53 ya know your history. their still a force for country rock in my book...

  • thanks to everyone because this song you´re awesome!!!!!!!

  • As a 10 year old little girl in 1977 I listened to a transitior radio inside a stuffed animal every night before Id go to sleep I would wait for this song to come on. It was my favorite then and my favorite now. I moved to Nashville TN and met George Grantham a co worker at a job where I was a dispatcher. I was amazed to find out that he was the drummer for POCO. I will never forget this song and this man and a wonderful friend.

  • @littlegirl37214 very cool story

  • @littlegirl37214 Sweet story

  • @littlegirl37214

I was an 8 year old boy that year, loving my am radio and listening to songs like this. you told a very cool story, thanks for the memories....

  • @littlegirl37214 We must be the same age...and we damn near have the same experience with this song as 10yr old kids back n-the day.

  • Excellent.!!

  • Remarkable - they do it to perfection! After all these years.

  • POCO- Anybody know if they're actually FROM PoCo?

I thought they were. You ppl who live in PoCo would know. I'm on the Island...originally from N. Van.

  • Reminds me of walking in a park in Boulder, singing this with the girl I was in love with, too bad she didn't love me- always breaks my heart to hear it

  • Maybe the greatest "love" song of all time. Getting old is a bitch, but these guys...wow! They sound unbelievable.

  • what wonderful melody,, great song from a great time...

  • Love this song with great hormony !!!

  • What a great post. Thanks boatman. Classic harmony, what a great song.

  • I miss Timothy's voice on this one.

  • allways good!

  • I think that would be "a" founding member-Rusty Young...This is pretty typical of some classic rock bands, one guy goes out on the road with the name. I saw "the Byrds" a few years back, and the only original member was the drummer Michael Clarke, and half of their set wasn't even songs by the Byrds.

I used to love Poco, but hearing some scabs do their songs is mildly depressing.

  • @pretorious700 That's Rusty Young & George Grantham, original Poco members, & on guitar is Paul Cotton (40 years with Poco), replaced Jim Messina in 1970 or 71. I guess you didn't recognized them, so that is 3 long time Poco members here, not some "scabs"

  • I came across this after listening to some Buffalo Springfield, and tracking where their musicians went. I had forgotten all about Crazy Love. I started crying- it was a song I listened to when my wife left me in 1977. Whew. An old softie, I am.

  • i really like this song,thanks poc.

  • Thank you for writing this song!

  • Lol at the guy with his triangle.

  • In the process of losing my mom. She's still hangin' in here, but my biggest backer has lost some of her steam. No matter how hard I try it refuses to unwind it may not be a crazy love but this song expresses a deep felt love unlike any other.

  • Recorded at the the Belcourt Theatre, Nashville, Tennessee, 2004. Great dvd for those interested.

What he doesn't do at the start is trash don henley (eagles) for attracting randy meisner and tim b. schmidt away from poco.

he promised his wife he wouldn't and it's good to see him let it go.

these guys have a sound and have been true to it for 40 years.

it's still good to hear and good to read young listeners digging it.

rusty is like craig lee fuller of pure prairie league.

    he's the real thing.

  • Still beautiful ♥

  • mocus1, got your joke, but that is music, and you seem to be a judgemental douche. Go put on your eye-liner and listen to Marilyn Manson.-whom looks like a biker puppet and sings like my butt!

  • Dude looks like a biker but sings like a jaybird !

  • I woke up this morning with this song playing in my head...

I didn't even know the artists who sang it in my past life but, I knew the melody & the words too.

    Ahhh thanks for the memories.

  • @sanpedrohustler that's exactly what happened to me a week ago! i can't stop listening to this song!

  • @musiqman09 Oh great, now I'll be hearing this in my head all week again..."that's o.k." it's a great song.

  • This is my favorite song of all time. I loved it when I was so little, and all these years later, it's still just as gorgeous.

  • Love this song...thanks for posting.

  • To correct a few inaccurate comments. Tim schmidt had left the band by the time this song was originally recorded. He was not the original lead singer. Rusty Young wrote and sang this song, the group's first and biggest hit. Drummer George Grantham in this video is the original high harmony singer.

  • Comment removed

  • Rusty Young is no relation to Neil (as far as I've ever known and I've been around!), and the guy singing high harmony is singing falsetto because he's taking Timothy B. Shmidt's part (Eagles) and that guy has a very high range. These guys sound great though.

  • one of my favorites ,for sure. great vid

  • thanks for this video!..still amazing vocals!..am a fan of this group..I love this song...have recorded our own rendition of the song...just bare with us if you dare to listen..:))..great reunion concert!

  • Great song. These guys still got it going on.

  • The guy singing looks like Rick from Pawn Stars

  • rusty young neil s brother?

  • I love you Joe<3 Yeah I know I scared the heck out of you. I scare myself too. It's a wonder

  • hottie alert at 1:50!!! wow!!!

  • The triangle-player is right on. Did he sing the whole song Falseto? Maybe time had caught up.

    Still - wonderful.

  • The triangle-player is right on.

  • This is truly an amazing&relaxing song!Poco we are CRAZY IN LOVE with you all!!!!!!!

  • Excellent harmony, excellent song. What a rightous sound.

  • one of my favorite bands .they are also some of the nicest people ive ever met .thank you rusty, paul , jack and george

  • Treasure these guys....we're all getting older. What a grand band, in every incarnation

  • I thought Timothy B. Schmit did the vocals on this song?

  • @10minutesofyourlife So did I...sounds just like him....

  • That song is so beautiful. I feel the same way that woman at 1:50 looks whenever I hear that song played. My three piece band used to perform that song back in the early 80's. The harmony makes the hair on my neck stand up. Thank you so much for sharing that video!!!!

  • I love this song. Great singer!

  • Fantastic songs like this have the power to remain eternallly harmonious in the hearts and minds of the listeners... Good music is forever.

    Thanks for posting!

  • i posted my last comment here 2 yrs ago... this tune is all over my ears for years.

  • This shows a good tune is everlasting!!

"Poco" in Spanish means" little" or "a little bit of..." But for sure Poco is "a lot"

  • Perfection.

  • God! I love this song. Music will NEVER again be as good as it was in the 70's.

  • Beautiful! Love this song! Liz

  • I saw poco in 1974 in Seattle. The opening band was Rush, and second was Robin Trower with Poco at the end. Most of the crowd left after Trower but they missed out big time! Poco was awesome! It was just after Poco seven came out.

  • I will always love this group. They still sound great after all these years.

  • @genesis4kt i love this music i grew up listening to this 70's and 80's it'll be around for a long long time, now this is what you call music.Randy meisner, eagles, poco, ect....

  • This is my favorite song by Poco. They still sound amazing to this day. The harmony between the members is so tight in this and all their songs. I am only in my 20s and I have and will continue to see them live whenever they come around. Favorite band ever.

  • i kissed her that night listening to this song and thought dang im in freaking heaven

  • one of my favourite tunes. i shall learn this one and add it to my repetoire. thanks for posting it

  • Wow, they sound fantastic! Thanks for posting this.

  • Seeking a billion People for Peace!

How about you and a friend?

  • Maybe the best song ever done.

  • Rusty Young has one of the best singing voices in the music world. He is also one of the best pedal steel guitar players in this arena as well.

  • Good performance, but hardly the founding members. Where's Neil Young?

  • @daddymak9

Neil Young was Buffalo Springfield, not Poco

  • @davecpike Figured it out about two seconds after I made the post. I was confusing Rusty Young, who was a member of Poco. Richie Furay and Jim Messina were members of both groups. Now that we got that figured out.

  • Still awesome after all these years.

  • Great song!!

  • love this song

  • OMG the lead singer dont look so hot!

  • Where's Richie Furray?

  • Poco just an excellent band. Love the harmonies.

One of the first country rock bands.

I think You'd Better Think Twice was one of their more popular songs.

They did some really good stuff. It just didn't get a lot of play time.

I'm older now and have forgotten a lot. about a lot.

I think most, if not all of these guys, came from other major rock bands.

    Anyway, I love their sound.

  • REALLY nice.

  • This is availabe on a double set..1 is the dvd and one is the cd. Much as I love this tune...Richie was Poco and Poco was Richie

  • I remember seeing them in '77. I thought they were just a local band ... a rather small venue in one of the pubs - I think there were only four of them. They sounded so terrific, I thought they should have some albums recorded!! (never much followed country music in those days and rarely went to bars!)

Never forgot their name ... they're still my all-time favourite band with Crazy Love the favourite song, although I don't remember them singing it that night.

  • @julanenova You are a happy man, whit a great band on your heart. Peace

  • Very good!

  • Really great performance by a really great group! Thanks!

    Starliner

  • One of my favorite groups and songs. Always will be a great classic. Awesome vocal sound with perfect harmony.

  • I really love this song. Rusty Young's voice is so clear and pristine. This band was a big influence to many people including the Eagles to follow.

  • One of my all time favorite groups. Still sounds awesome.

  • Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Poco was a part of my teenage life, reminds me of my older siblings who liked "country rock," and is closest to my heart. Will always be "in love" with Randy Meisner, one of the originals in Poco.

  • yeah,imprisoned by a faded memories...love this song soooo much !!

  • "Just when I think I'm over [him]

    This broken heart will mend

I hear [his] name and I have to cry

    The tears come down again"

someday, this broken heart will mend......

  • @secretliescomeout I like u hv tears as i listen to this song,,along with the hopes that time will mend this broken heart,,i wish u peace within ur own heart, Godspeeed ,,,

  • Cape Town 1979. Good times.

  • wow .....

  • Beautiful.

  • Absolutely love this song...remember listening to it on my AM radio, the only one I had...it takes me back to another time yet is still so meaningful today

  • If no one knew this the late great Phil Hartman (SNL) was the artist for their running horse logo.He also did many other album covers back in the 70's.

  • thats so cool, how did you know that? my dad turned me on to this right before he died. id heard it before, just never really listened! its great!

  • Phil Hartman also did the official logo for Crosby,Stills Nash and Young as well as a few album covers for the band America. Poco is still pretty active playing smaller venues around the country .You should visit their website for current CD's.

  • crazyshelly,

I got autograghs on my cd cover and t-shirts that night, they really love us fans.I found some cool denim and henly tee's shirts on their web site.

  • I heard them in concert in Blackhawk,Co a couple of years ago.Rusty and Paul still have gold dust in their music.

  • Love FIND OUT IN TIME from the INDIAN SUMMER (deleted) album. This is an amazing song from the folky side of pop to me. Thanks

  • still sounding amazing ,awesome THANKS! reunion tours rock!

  • sounds great, love this song

  • Richie Furay sang lead on the first few albums. Jim Messina also sang a few leads. Tim Schmidt and Paul Cotton were also lead singers. Meisner did mostly background on the first cd. So did Grantham. Rusty was the steel player and longest member of the band.

  • bravo!

  • EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!

    Love that sound.

    Great harmonies.

They still got it going, for sure.

  • @Nazz1952 TR Fan are ya?

  • i cant believe anyone even tries to say schmidt is a better melodocal singer...schmidt can sing but young takes it by a landslide when it comes to meoldy imo

  • hottie at 1:50!!!

  • yeah its a great dvd and also there blue and gray album should be re'released on cd again 2nd hand cd fetching $100 or more now its the only album not available any longer and also there live 75 album.

anyway keep it country and southern amen

  • Poco was just as good as the Eagles, but never got the hype. They actually started out as a "Super Band" With Buffalo Springfield members Ritchie Furay & Jim Messina (who later joined Kenny Loggins), Randy Meisner and Rusty Young.

  • THE Rusty Young?

  • Timothy B. Schmidt joined the Eagles for Hotel California. This song came out a year later, Rusty Young was the original lead singer.

Randy Meisner left Poco to join the Eagles, he was replaced by Schmidt. Later, when Meisner left the Eagles, he was again replaced by Schmidt. Not normally a singer, Timothy B Schmidt only sang lead on 1 Poco hit Keep on Tryin', then with the Eagles, on I Can't Tell You Why and later on Love Will Keep Us Alive.

  • More Triangle, I have a fever and only one thing can satisfy it: Triangle

  • haha!

  • What harmony. What great accoustics. Love this song. Beautiful, Poco.

  • these guys know something deep... I love them.

  • I saw them last night Awesome

  • Was lucky enough to be working for their record label in Canada when the"Legend" lp came out and am proud to say I was the first one to get that song played on a Canadian radio station.

  • Very cool! Poco was my first live concert and I've still got a master recording of that album. Think I still have a crush on Rusty after all these years.

  • They did signings after the concert on their t shirts

  • That's Awesome!!!!

  • Beautiful song:-)...

  • Sounds great!

  • i was so small bak then whe i first heard this song..still..lyking till now..his voice didnt change nice

  • Timothy B. schmitt Bass -player from early days originaly sang this song .Then later joined the eagles

  • Oh, sigh.............

  • Love this song. First time I heard it was by Jars of Clay.

  • Jars of Clay? Aren't they a Christian band that exclusively sing about God? Yes, they are.

  • wrong

  • so glad i found this. it's one of my alltime favorite songs!

  • beautiful song. I bought that album 3 times and still can't find a single copy of it. And I remember that when this song was in the top 40, the Allman Brothers also had a hit with a different song with the same title.

  • BTW, I'd have gone Country by now but even Country music has to a large degree betrayed its roots. But....there are still some great musicians out there.

Nowadays it's all about how you look. Could you ever conceive of Mama Cass Elliot being accepted today with the way things are? No way.

Blues Traveler showed/sang it best a few years ago in the song/video "Run Around".

  • just killer.......harmony is sensational. i think this version is even better than their original. also "in the heart of the night" from this same concert........those two songs alone should put them in the rock n roll hall of fame........of course that institution is a farce nowdays anyway. it's not only who've they let in, but it's who've they have forgotten.........

  • Excellent comment johnnyrockintalkin. The R&R HOF is a joke nowadays. I can't even imagine what it will be like in twenty-five years when today's current crop of fake musicians become eligble.

  • I can imaginne some 50 year old saying "you kids know nothing, Snoop Dog now that was music you punks get out of my yard!"

  • Ahh how true. I can remember my Mom and Aunt trashing the Beatles when they performed on Ed Sullivan like it was yesterday. All they could do was speculate on whether they were wearing wigs. Every generation has their own music.

One thing I can say, I can listen to Frank Sinatra, Mozart, Andy Williams, Alice In Chains, Bing Crosby, Al DiMeola, Dave Brubeck, blah blah blah. I just can't stand Rap. Hell, I'm even giving Disco a second look after thirty years. Rap - Fuck no!

  • Amen, brother. I can listen to anything but crap. I mean, rap. Total waste of no talent.

  • How is it that something can be a total waste of no talent. That sounds like an oxymoron.

  • i agree 100%

  • @boatman1953 -- same boat.... can't stand Rap ... song has no soul and reflects the decline of our society.

  • @jeff99az Totally agreed. As long as true lovers of REAL music exist REAL music will never die.

  • @boatman1953 yeah right. snoop dog is shit. that's not music. 50 years from now, no one will remember.

  • @boatman1953 I hate Rap too!

  • @boatman1953 You're right about the R&R HOF.....where's Johnny Maestro?

  • fuck how..beautiful is this song...
