  • After seeing Jennifer Connelly in this scene, I had to put Mr. Hand to work. Poor, poor Mr Hand !

  • GOD, her eyes

  • after so long time i still searching for this sing by this girl, i feel it's nicer than the original version.

  • Why does the sound mute around halfway?

  • @davidlatapie The video is slowed down while the sound is at normal speed so the sound finishes a lot faster than the video does.

  • @plattawabbe This explains that. Thanks!

  • VOLUME WAY LOW????

  • i prefer jennifer singing. . .so sexy!

  • This is far better than Kelsey's version IMO.

  • Awesome movie and beautiful woman with a sexy voice singing a sexy song, I don't need anything else :)

At the end you can hear an electric guitar on the background that gives the song kind of a santana style, pretty cool

  • I like this version of the song way better than the theatrical version

  • Same. Wish there was full version.

  • I'm not an enormous fan of hers, but she does have good taste in movies and her singing, I dare say, is quite sexy.

  • I found this scene with the original Anita Kelsey version to be very memorably sexy. She put more feeling into it. Sad to see it go, but I suppose this version is more subdued and suits the character better. Still, I think the disparity between the emotional vocal and the barely-moving performance added a uniqueness to the original version.

  • in my honest opinion Jennifer's real voice suits the character more, and comes off abit more dark and heavy. Anita has a great vocie and love her song, but Jennifer really brings out her character into the song, and she sounds sexy too!

  • i love thiz baby!..!

  • Add me as one more person who prefers Connelly's real voice over the one used in the original movie.

    Such a great movie, too.

  • It's interesting that I have watched the film Dark City and in it i can recall hearing THAT version. When I listened to the other version I saw like "Wait, ít wasn't that way" so I suppose there is an rare version of the movie with that version.

  • this is better.. wonder why they put the other version in movie???

  • I'm glad you all like it. Thank you for your comments.

As for who's "superior", maybe Anita Kelsey is superior singer, but Jenifer Connelly fits here better. IMO of course.

  • @szsqxnvjsj And it's not as if this is a challenging song to sing. The main point is selling the song, and as an actress, Jennifer has what it takes in spades.

  • @MaskedMan66, Sway is a song that the singer sells, not quite sings indeed. Just like the old 1930's & 1940's classic songs.

  • OH FUCK SHE PLAYED IN REQUIEM OF A DREAM

  • ass to ass !

    such a babe

  • Anybody knows if this version was ever released? It would be nice to hear the whole song singed by her

  • Notice how she delays the word "stay" at around 0:32. I don't know this song too well (at least I haven't see the original sheet music) so I don't know if it's indeed a little improvisation. In Anita Kelsey's version, she does similar thing by adding an extra note (an augmented 2nd) at around 30 sec of the opening, which also sounds great. But Connelly's is more subtle and effective in terms of highlighting the word "stay."

  • This is definitely so much better than the original version. This is THE Jennifer Connelly that you fall in love with. The original felt like an identity theft. And I think a lot of people are right that Connelly has a nicer voice.

  • undoubtedly better than anita kelsey. she sings in charectar.

  • this better ^^

  • I like this version better than the one released.

  • When I feel bad I think if this

Dunno why it just make feel better

  • I wonder why exactly they decided wo go with the Anita Kelsey version for the release cut of the movie, Connelly actually has a nicer voice.

  • @Redmanfms I thought Anita's voice sounded strangely disembodied in the film, especially synced up with the footage, but the director might have preferred it because it really does kind of unsettle you. Using JC's voice kind of normalizes the scene I feel.

  • the close up to her eyes is just incredible

  • I remember seeing this, and thinking that there isn't a woman alive with more beautiful eyes than Jennifer Connelly in this scene.

  • @panchopistolitas Definitely!

  • love thisssss
