  • Then she MUST be part dingo. The triangular ears, the lean body, the white fur on her butt, belly, and on the tip of her tail, the grin on her face, the gracefulness with which she trots, how her belly meets her hindquarters in a high "v," her agility...

  • There are lots of domestic dogs with those characteristics. But if it makes you feel better, e-mail me pics clearly showing all the main features and I'll respond with my assessment: wolf(at)dingowolf(dot)org

  • My dog was rescued from a box left in a field, and she looks exactly like the dingoes in these videos. How many folks breed dingoes in Southern California??? BTW, she is the SWEETEST dog ever.

  • 7thandParamount: Over the years I've received literally hundreds of e-mails from people in the US who think their dog is a dingo.. And all of them only had a resemblance. A lot of people also think malamutes look exactly like gray wolves.

I've yet to find any evidence of regular people breeding dingoes for keeping as "pets" in the US. I hope it stays that way, as they are not domestic animals and most people cannot provide them with proper care. They are NOT domestic dogs.

  • Was that a kelpi in with the dingos? if so why? or if it wasnt what was it?

  • NikkisTemptation: That's Stormy, a pure alpine dingo of the black/tan colouration. They're most common in wooded areas, where they blend in well with their surroundings.

  • It's sad, at the same time it reflects pack unity. It's such a touching video, I wish she could have gotten to those pups. 5/5

  • werewolfofsimi: I couldn't let her into the other enclosure because of rival females, but throwing the bone over the fence was enough to make her happy.

  • Ah, I see. THAT would have been a problem, that's very awesome that you did that. She must have felt very relived.
