HTC HD2 Digital Compass Demo

Does anyone have this compass on the hd2 but does not include the "set destination" button? If so, how would i set a destination?

does this require 3g connection just to use the compass? not google map...just the compass. is the compass an internal mechanism or reliant on GPS ?

Too bad I have this phone and they took that feature out...the digital compass is still there but the "Set Destination" part is gone. Would be cool if it were there though...

@barbieR89 are you sure it is no the normal standby? If so it would turn instantly on when pressing the power button. Otherwise try to reset it eider by the button on the back or by the software reset function.

It seems that way, doesn't it.. But in reality it's actually not that much bigger than, say, the iPhone. It just appears to be. It's still a large device, but it's not as FREAKING HUGE as it appears.

Ive got to disagree. I have the Touch HD and I tried out the HD2  today and man its so wide. It is just to damn big to hold comfortably in my hands. Maybe someone with large hands would find it okay but after trying it theres no way im buying one

There's a lot of people having the same issue with the iPhone though, which is what I was comparing it to (no-one seems to consider that thing "freaking huge"). The HD2 is just 4.9mm wider than the iPhone...which is less than half the thickness of the device.

You do have to reach out farther in order to touch the other side of the screen though. I suppose that could be really uncomfortable, if not impossible with one hand.

where did you try it out? do they have it in vodafone shops? I already use a silicon cover on my touch HD which makes it a bit wider and cope with it fine. But I am worried that if I got the HD2 and added a silicon cover that it would make it far too wide.

@HOWJORD it was sold out in my local Vodafone shop but they did have a dummy unit. i really found it to big. I think the HD is my maximum size
