the first video my dad rented for us when we were kids......i can still remember laughing at it and then asking for goolies after seeing the trailers......remember when videos had trailers?
I have quite a fondness for this film since it was my very first job in the film industry. I was hired by Michael McCracken Sr. to work on the creature effects team and it was a dream come true. Sadly, Michael McCracken Sr., the man responsible for creating Anthony, passed away a couple months ago. We had such a great time working on the movie and they are truly cherished memories. I'm glad to see so many people still admire the work we did. Peace.
@CrudelyAnimated Wow..That's really awesome. By the way you guys did a fantastic job with the effects. One of the better low budget creature features out there for sure. Can we get a DVD of this already?
@Guessnought I totally agree. They did the same thing for "The Prowler" (1981). Their mistakes: relatively long trailer, gives away twists and best scenes.
I love the movies based on HP Lovecraft's writings. Dude was way ahead of his time.

One of the creepiest parts of this movie is the part where the creature hides in the watermelon, and kills the girl in the car.
