when you are into style, atmosphere and cool camera-work check out some of the other Italian directors. The classic master of Italian H-cinema is Mario Bava. And he is the master, the granddaddy of them all. He is amazing. Get "Black Sunday" (1960) for a start. Then Dario Argento of coarse! By the way, the guy who gets his brains popped out in "City" became a really good director too. Michele Soavi. He also did some amazing films. His masterpiece is "Dellamorte Dellamore".
Gotta agree with ya on the description of Fulci...he brings the gore to everything he does! Very cool title selection! I saw that when ti was Gates of Hell...watched it on the big screen! It was awesome! Good luck in the contest!
