Even if she did fall forward/backward the chances of her moving faster than the boat to match the speed of the boat as she is falling is impossible because of a little rule called physics... She would have to be ahead of the motor and fall to be struck by it. Even if her head was perfectly above the prop, it would fall behind because the boat would speed forward as she fell. Yes I from Port Aransas TX and i've been surfing TGSA for a while now. That's basically all they use are panty hose to make the pickle with foam shavings from boards that are shaped. I lived in Hawaii for a year next to the guys that make the pickle so they send me boxes of them when I need em. Very smart tho to make ur own :)
Takayama dig it, saw the pickle sticker on your board instead of wasting your money on that crap just double up some pantyhose and fill it full of flour. same thing as pickle, plus you can raid your folks house for the parts needed to contsruct it lol.

@h2owakesurfer Three years. I had an outboard motor boat, so therefore I surfed closer as well for a long period of time. Everything has risks. If she accepted those risks, then that's her business. If you don't agree with it, that's your opinion. However, I don't believe that it should be enough not to do it! One person's distraction driving a car could cause an accident, however if "most of you guys keep on believing it's not possible, it won't happen", right?
@KaylakT2010 If you surfed for 3 years behind an outboard Darwin is a fraud. You're right, it is my opinion that wake surfing behind and outboard is pretty stupid. There's reasons why states have banned surfing behind I/Os. You'd have to be pretty dumb to accept that kind of risk.
I wake surf. It's not as bad as everyone makes it sound. Yeah if you throw yourself forward you MIGHT hit it, but the boat is moving so fast that the wake throws you back when you fall.

If it only happens once isn't that enough not to surf behind an outboard? I guess if you guys just keep believing that it's not possible it wont happen.
