Blink always does that sped up thrash style of play when they were in their punk days...and they were punk. totally punk early on, but yea post Enema theyre straight pop punk and alternative..which is wtvr to me, they like made pop punk a recognized genre its not "corporate punk". its tom mark and travis doin what they wana do.

For Blink listen to Chesire Cat and Dude Ranch and for Green Day listen to 1,039 smoothed out slappy hours and Kerplunk and Dookie. Like many people, I liked their older music better. Bands change over time, that's just the way it its. There's nothing you can do about it. Billie Joe, Tom Delonge and Mark Hoppus didn't sell out, they just matured. I liked them better when they were more punk, but I still respect them.

scott was too stereotypical. he played fast...and that is a huge talent. try to play dammit at its real tempo. However, his drum sound mirrored bad religion, circle jerks, descendants and the rest of them. Travis combined hip hop with rock in a way thats different than r&b or funk. Its something new. Im not just hyped up because he does his remixes...Im hyped up because when you first hear anthem part 2 or aliens exist you go...wtf? drum machine? multi track? electronic drums? nope, just travis.

There are three types of blink, old blink (flyswatter, buddha, cheshire cat, dude ranch), middle blink (Enema of the state, TOYPAJ) and new blink (self-titled). All three have the same irreplaceable and original blink 182 sound, just in a different way.
