What you say about the investigators makes allot of sense. we debunk videos ourselves and we get allot of flak from those devout zealots who either investigate or are just stone cold believers.

You should also do a video about the paranormal followers and their addiction and denial of plausible proof.

i agree with you some people can take things to far and get addicted

sometime it can be real what happens but most of the time it can be made up

but i have seen in some of the ghost hunter shows i have seen some of them will do things a bit to fast for it to be real i have thought it look like they new the place to much or new where to be to fast

i hope you find what you need to know and show that being a ghost hunter is addicting

Plus when I see the ghost hunters tv show turn all the lights on..I pause because that's the only moment ill see a ghost on the show. They need to Stop proving things and just show some awsome photos. Plus no into the light crap. U can't use science to prove and then say heaven stuff.

Yea these ghost hunters are idiots. Taking pics in daylight is how to capture photos. I sent in perfect looking people and cats and dogs ghosts to a team in southern illinois..and they said no too zoomed in. Yet their site only had orbs and mist photos. See idiots obsessed with the tv way ...

@gigi2mado you are so right. most of the sites for paranormal post pictures of Orbs or mist photos because they won't let the dead horse stay dead. Many people including us have shown the idiots that orbs are dust, bugs or other natural and man made airborne particles.

the fans are addicts too. I am glad Patrick is back, but i hope he never stops debunking the videos like he has in the past. we need more debunkers not less.

Interesting observations and one I've seen myself with several (former) team members. They become completely obsessed with taking "ghost" photos, listening over and over again for "EVPs," and mistaking ordinary events for something paranormal. imo, it's because they want so desperately to believe. I have an incident or two in my own team where I've wondered if maybe that really sincere sounding investigator MIGHT have faked something. It's generally impossible to prove, though.

About time someone came out and said it!! . It is an obsession for most . Every creepy feeling , flicker of light , and EVERY little noise is definitely a "ghost" nowadays...I dont even understand why people are creeping around in the dark . I got some of the best EVPs in the daytime.(which I do in my spare time). I quit posting them on YT , I do it just for my own personal curiousity . But these ghost shows AND the ones on YT aren all attention seekers..Good Luck with your project , Lisa

IMO, these teams are not addicted to ghosts. They're addicted to "evidence" and the pat on the back they get from their fellow enthusiasts (I won't call them investigators).

I also hope he looks at another aspect of the "addiction", not the one looking for ghost, but fame and fortune. Thanks to Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures, many groups are faking evidence or making every shadow and blimp paranormal, to get name recognition or get a TV show/book deal. Of course, that could be said about debunkers too.

I have noticed that addiction is getting a lot of attention now on TV from shows like Addicted to Food, Intervention and Hoarders(though this is mostly mental illness which leads to the addiction to collecting items). Perhaps, you have found a new niche. Interesting.

Interesting, you can go many places with this and target religion and politics. What you describe is not just associated with substance abuse but belief systems in general. They have done studies on those with diehard political beliefs and show similar addicted behavior.
