Questo brano, insieme a "Quando l'amore diventa poesia" fu preparato dagli Aphrodite's Child per partecipare a Sanremo in coppia con un artista italiano come era tradizione in quegli anni. La partecipazione non avvene, però Demis imparò a cantare in italiano fin dall'ora.

This is the Italian TV show called "Special per Voi". It should be around early 1969. This song got a second place at the Festival of Sanremo 1969 as sung by the late great Sergio Endrigo. Mary Hopkin was the second performer of the same song at Sanremo, also in Italian. This version makes me think that Aphrodite's Child should have been the second performer but that somehow they wre dropped in favour of Mary Hopkin......
