This is the same reaction I got when I did this from the reader, and again from the virtually useless website. If you've figured out a workaround for this, I'd sure appreciate hearing about it.

I loaded the official Pandigital update that turns it into an Android 2.0 tablet (and I too have the WiFi issue). It works pretty well, but I would really like to load a hgher Android version so I can get better versions of Nook and Kindle apps.

I got the same screen and I just pushed the reset button at the top by the power button. I do not know if it cancelled the root but it did clear out the error screen and allow the tablet to go to the home screen. Hope that helped.

This only most worked on WHITE PANDIGITAL ereaders, has done my researchs on by google random sites to learn what worked or not. Saw lots complain nothin work for black pandigitals. Google it find why white is different from black one. no! junk don't work file is fckup ... you can install a few roms and apps to get around video music app/download from market place. go to 4shared site and search for blackmart alpha version 92*** , this have most of apps and games from marketplace but not every one will work. you can also serach for *.apk all apps for droid will show up DL what you want copy to sd card and install :)

I'm not sure why people are listening to others about "rooting" your tablet. The new update with the pandigital noval is pretty good, and if you looking for a ipad, don't even buy one of these. Save your money until you can buy one. I can run facebook, youtube and browse the net and read books good on this. No hacking needed.

@Jenna1231fer --- if you cant get rid of the android guy (like as if your screen is frozen) then all you have to do is get a safety pin and "reset" (next to the power button) your tablet. that should get it to start up normal again --- and no you wont lose any of your system settings and whatnot ......as for getting this rooting to work, im at a complete loss! i cant get it to work either :(

HERE IT IS, here is a working firmware that I found and using for this. Just google: Alternate WPDN Firmware click on the 2ND link. You might have slight issues with Market but on the website(samepage) tell you how to get past that, just by changing the time on the device no biggie.
