Oh you know, it takes little for a country to become independent these days. If the USA's agree with your independence, you'll get it, if not, you will most likely not get it. Well i dont really see what difference betwen a american and a Canadian, dont they read the same books, look at the same T.V. programs, sing the same songs, look at the same news, read the same magazines, eat the same fucking shit, dress the same clothes, est... the only difference betwen Canada and U.S.A. is Quebec my country, Vive le Bloc Quebecois that represent me and my peoples. Oh you know, it takes little for a country to become independent these days. If the USA's agree with your independence, you'll get it, if not, you will most likely not get it. Take a look at what happened with Kosovo and Serbia-Montenegro. Kosovo and Montenegro both had support from the Americans when they proclaimed their independence. Oh and trust me, it's not the National Canadian Army that's gotta dare go agaisn't the USA's, as Canada is America's dog along with the United Kingdom.

As Canada's army is a joke compared to USA's army and intimidation power. Canada and the USA are allies, yes, but if the USA find any interest in supporting Quebec's independence (or any other future country for that matter), they will support it, and in a ''proactive'' way if you see what I mean.

Why would the United States support an Indpendent Quebec. The United States has it's own succession problems with reguard to the South that was one of the reasons for the United States Civil War (1660-1665). The United States will NOT support an independent French State (Quebec) in North America and will want it's 2nd largest buisness partner (Canada) to remain intact instead of beaking apart.
BTW Many US Militias will actually help Canada in fighting the Quebecois Seperatists

The USA were against the Quebec separation in the last referendum, they would be against the next, but they would not use their influence one way or another in Canada's internal affairs. And forget the army, a separation is highly unlikely, but military action is simply absurd. Unless in the case of civil insurrection, in which case the «Loi sur les mesures de guerre» would have to be applied to restore calm to the populace.

First: Quebec is not a "Nation with a Nation" but a Province of Canada nothing more and nothing less no matter what Stephen "the Traitor" Harper says.

The Quebecois must abide by the Constitutiton Act of 1867 in which both English and French are Established as the Co-Official Languages of both the Dominion of Canada and it's Province of Quebec. Such anti-English Language Laws like Bill 22, Bill 101, Bill 104 and Bill 178 must be repealed, the Office Quebecois de la langue Francais (OQLF) must be dismantled.The English Language should be given the same rights and privileges as what the French Language currently has in the Province of Quebec.

The British created the Province of Quebec in 1763 after the Fall of New France (1663-1763). Quebec has 2 Cultures (English and French) and not 1 Culture (French). Amsterdam is the Capital City of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, I recomend you look up your geography by making stupid statements like Amersterdam vs Netherlands.
The English in Quebec are discrimintad. Bill 22, Bill 101, Bill 104 and Bill 178 is attestment to this. English must be restored as an Official Language of Quebec ASAP.

Same goes for Quebec. The culture here is different. I am english, and I like it here. This is my home and my culture too. If the French Language and Culture of the Province of Quebec can not survive with out oppressive anti-English Language Laws like Bill 22, Bill 101, Bill 104 and Bill 178 and with a Language KGB (Office Quebecois de la langue Francais) then it should not survive at all and must be allowed to decline and die out with dignity and allow the English Language to rise to be the Official Language of the Province of Quebec. It's only right for the Quebecois to assimiliate into Anglo-Canadian Society.

The very Act that established both English and French as Official Languages of the Dominion of Canada also established them as Official Languages of the Province of Quebec. The Constitutiton Act of 1867 was very fair and liberal in reguards to the French Language but as usual the French Quebecois shown their gratitude for the protection of their Language by the Constitutiton Act of 1867 by removing English as an Official Language and by creating such laws as Bill 22, Bill 101, Bill 104, Bill 178

The Province of Quebec must have both English and French as Official Languages. Both English and French Cultures should be celebrated equally in the Province of Quebec. Bill 101 (Charter of the French Language) must be replaced with Bill 199 (Charter of the French and English Languages). The Province of Quebec must Officially Bilingual just like the Province of New Brunswick, this is fair and square. The English Language must be treated the same as the French Language in the Province of Quebec.

Your outsider look upon the Quebec nation is too simplistic. First, the legal change would require political will at the provincial level. Canada has absolutely no prerogatives on the matter. The Dominion of Canada does have prerogatives in the matter when it come's to the Province of Quebec. The Southern States often said to the Federal Government of the United States that they had no buisness in State's Affairs when it came to the Anti-Black Jim Crow Segeration Laws but in the end the Federal Government and Supreme Court abolished these laws, The Dominion of Canada must do the same by abolishing Bill 22, Bill 101, Bill 104 and Bill 178 whether the Quebecois like it or not.

My beef is not with the Province of Quebec (A Province created by the British in 1763 and in 1867 BTW) but with the ingratitutude shown to both Canada and Great Britiain for preserving and tollerating the French Language in both the Quebec Act of 1774 and the Constitutiton Act of 1867 by removing English as an Official Language and by trying to destroy the Anglo-Quebec Community and element of Quebec. Sometimes I wished that we listend to Lord Durham's advice to assimiliate French Canadians.

We Anglo-Canadians have everyright to the Province of Quebec BTW of the British Victory over the French in the French and Indian War (1754-1763) and the Treaty of Paris (1763) win which the French had a choice to keep either New France (Canada) or the French West Indies (Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinuqe and St Lucia) and they chose to ceade New France to the British and retain the French West Indies and the Dominion of Canada is the successor of the British Empire in North America.

The Quebecois at the time of the Conquest by the British were not part of an independent state but were part of the French Empire in the French and Indian War (1754-1763) and this is not invasion. Invasion is when the British invaded and later took over the Boer Republics of the South African Republic (Transvaal) and the Orange Free State in the Second Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902) and then united them with British Colonies of Cape Colony and Natal and created South Africa. We have similar features, but we also have differences. Its just like how Quebec has a similar culture to France or Wallonia or the French Suisse. There are similarities, but some differences as well.
