Since no one has answered you yet: It depends on how long your flame lasts. The water, the flame heats to steam, is drawn from what the boat is in, so that won't run out.

For instance; if you build one to match the size of a Dollar Store pellet candle that is supposed to last 10 hours, then put the boat in a sizable pond and just let it run. You could come back in 9 hrs 30 minutes and watch it continue for another 30 minutes--theoretically.
