So why does Nyarlathotep's attacks vary from 40s to under 10? It looks like Desperation Nightmare did it but then why would it even use that attack?

@ephemeralsaga no idea, i just beat the game today and he did that on the second turn and then he was hitting for like 10-15 dmg on sp. the battle wasnt really hard :S

@Dorarnae666 Silly me, I was thinking logically when attacks are probably determined at random or through a number generator. I guess they wanted players to have a better chance so they threw in relatively less crippling sp damage. Thanks for the reply. Oh, and congrats on beating the game even if the boss fight wasn't hard for you.

@Dorarnae666 I haven't played it, but from what I could see, one of two things did it:

1)It's a gameplay bug, which will summarily be removed from the PSP version

2)Desperation Nightmare forced the damage to convert from HP to SP. Why Nyarlathotep would bother to do that considering Tatsuya's obnoxiously high SP is beyond me, but hey - stranger things have happened.

@sojiro856 In Persona 2: Innocent Sin, the main character is Tatsuya, but the masquerade kids play equal supporting story and gameplay roles.

In Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, Maya is the main character.

How? I would've died by now... if only you could use apocalypse, you need the Satan and Lucifer personas, One has this Alpha something attack and the other has this omega something have them use the attack s and you'll use apocalypse, will kill anything, including Great Father.

All aside, this, I believe, is probably the hardest boss in any RPG that I've played.
