'Dang' just doesn't carry the same weight that 'damn' does. If a space station starts rocking, somebody yelling 'DANG!' just seems out of place. Maybe 'CRAP!' could have been an alternative, but even then, the shock value that Dane's line had on the average Nintendo audience made the situation much more tense.
I have one, but it's on my dad's computer, and he's never out of the house long enough to cart my Wii up to his office and hook it up unfortunately. This was taken over a rare time when he was out all day...When I get my laptop though, I'll make sure it has a card inside of it. That way I can take all the videos I want and just crap them all onto MHQ. It'll be awesome.
I remember right after I heard him say that I scrambled for the box to see if "mild language" was in the rating description, and surprisingly enough it wasn't. It's funny what you can and can't get away with in video games...
The replacement of "Damn" with "No" also applies to the PAL single game disc of this game :(

It sucks that he says "No!" in the Trilogy version.

I have the european version, and it's funny to discover that they changed the DAMN with a NO!!! Holly crap, they discovered it XD.
MetaRidley77 4 years ago
Somehow a 'NO!!!' just doesn't carry the same weight as 'DAMN!', even the slightly pathetic way that Dane just 'let it slip.'

I think Admiral Dane is famous for said the first swear in a Nintendo franchise. But a least was the only one in the whole game.

Take a look at Shadow the Hedgehog. They use words like "Damn" and "Hell" and the game got an E10+ rating. XD
