I understand the comparison...it's just a very poor one. Could have been done much better with another example. HOWEVER....the universe IS electric and Einstein was no Einstein.
The days of the High Priests of SIN (Science Industry) are numbered - they've been successfully distracting some of our greatest minds with mathematical psychedelia for far too long!
Im not intelligent whatsoever in this field, actually, a child moreover. Yet, abandon gravity ? I suppose the big bang is one key argument ? I hope this theory isn't based on gravity, if so, a failure indeed, for common sense travels a long way realizing this theory/concept is WRONG. Any comments or returns on the BB and if its hypothesis is based on gravity would be greatly appreciated. I just can't see how planets can move away from earth in the BB theory unless earth is the center of BB.
Hey, whats wrong with smoking? I was gonna quit, but then I realized that not only does it have the benefit of being a legal stimulant, promoting weight loss, but it kills also boredom (while also shortening the time one has on the planet to experience said boredom). Cant think of a better reason to keep a habit.
I think dark/matter energy is an...understandable, if not entirely justified idea in the scientific community though. Seems to me like scientists just cant say "I don't know," and therefore just lump all those variables into one category and find a way to stick in in the equation. It's the best they can do, after all.
When they sensationalize dark matter/energy, however, by talking about it to plebes who don't understand that, it gets annoying. For one, the public doesn't understand the...
nature what they're hearing about, and thus start thinking of dark matter/energy in the way its presented on those oversimplified BBC programs. Second, it creates the perception that scientists know everything, when they don't. Granted, physicists are definitely > than I am, but they can't claim to know it all just yet, and they shouldn't.
In response to Sirfascio. There is no need for Dark Matter and Dark Energy when electromagnetism is factored in, but the mainstream ignore EM becuase it is difficult to model matematically.
