@starspangled86 I think the commercial was changed a little. I seem to recall that originally, not only did the father make a second phony collect call, but that the commercial didn't go as far as imply that this is an "illegal" abuse of the collect call system. I wouldn't be surprised if the phone companies took offense and had the commercial changed. It wouldn't be the first time a second version of a commercial were released to appease complaints.
@mrmacross Wrong number calls happen whether it's a collect call or not though I had a brother that received the dumbest wrong number call the guy said I need to get out of jail without giving his name.
@eazy573 I was in middle school when this one came out but at the time I just wanted to record this commercial so I could annoy the hell out of my parents with it even if it was too loud but unfortunately I didn't have a VCR at that time.

@BigEdgePoker I actually tried to make a funny with this commercial yesterday about telling my friends the sex of my baby... but only 1 person out of everyone I texted it to remembered... killed the joke. so I look on here hoping to find it to share so people can remember, and BAM! lol.
